Karkat lazily scanned each item and shoved them roughly over to the man, calculating the price on the computer beside him. "$33.23." He growled. Though he didn't want to be mean to the lady, he still was quite annoyed at how 'happy' and 'joyful' she was. He realized that he wasn't used to that much happiness towards him- other than Nepeta or John his friends seemed to hate to be around him. He sighed and put the money in the cash register once it was handed to him.

Rose screamed out of nothing where and started to cry. She had a small flash back but she didn't pass out like she always does luckily . She didn't like that she just randomly screamed out of nowhere and knew people would think she was even more crazy now.

Logan grabbed the items the kid shoved over to him and put them in bags, not caring if the woman wanted the items placed in specific ones. Although he was nice enough to put them back in her cart, thinking of her age. After she paid the kid, she looked at Logan. "Thank you" she said with a smile, grabbing the cart and started to walk away "You two have a good day". The man held back an audible sigh and replied with a simple "Yeah". Logan was starting to get board then. He actually considered stirring up a little trouble for the heck of it but he knew that wasn't a good idea.

The Canadian was walking around in the stores halls before his ears picked up a scream. Immediatly he dashed off to where the sound came from and froze when he reached it. Matthew walked up to the screaming and crying female and asked, "hey, you alright there?" He was worried for her like he was whenever anyone was feeling upset or angry. It was just natural instinct.

Karkat stared at the counter as she left and didn't say anything when she left, just let out a long sigh. he looked up at the man, "so. What's your actual name?" He asked him. "You know, other than 'my new co-worker'." He continued, leaning on the till and tapping his fingers impatiently.

The man crossed his arms, watching a few more customers pass the till. He glared at them before turning his attention to the kid. "It's Logan" he replied "What about you?" he asked in return, "I could call you kid for the rest of the time that I'm here but I'm sure that would get on your nerves after a while". At that he decided to get another root beer from the freezer. "You want a one?" he asked as he got himself another. It was all Target had to offer for drinks.
