Percy looked at her then then tilted his head "A ball? Already? Why, school just started a short while ago" he said watching her read the note. His mind swirled. Great. Now he had to worry about getting a date and actually knowing how to dance and getting nice dress robes. He stared at Piper while he thought. "I don't suppose that note is from someone asking you to the ball is it?" he asked, not exactly sure why he was feeling these quick emotions. Why should he care if someone asked Piper to the ball before...before...before him? He pinched his arm and mentally shook his head. No way would he ask Piper yet. They just meet! 'But your a pretty amazing dancer and look quite dashing in a fancy robe' One part of his mind teased 'She's gonna say no~ She's gonna say no~ Don't even bother' the other side sang. Percy huffed and turned his attention back to Piper. Maybe later.

"I doubt it, it looks like a flier must've excaped a student or something, Dumbledore will probably say something later during dinner about the ball too." She shrugged lightly, " I don't really look great in dresses either," She smiled. "You'll probably have people flocking over you I'm sure, watch out for amortentia," Piper joked, nudging him slightly.

Percy had half listened to what she said and half listened to his head mocking him for being the coward he is. No way. He's asked out plenty of girls but Piper just seems...different. "Who...? I mean yeah I will" He gave a small laugh and picked at his robes again. True every year he has had some girl attempt it or just simply try to give it to him straight on. He'll be more carful this year. He sat in silence for a moment "So you don't plan on going..? Not even with friends..?" he asked in a mutter watching her facial expressions to make sure she didn't expect him of thinking about anything. 'I'm sure she looks great in a dress' he thought with a frown 'Weirdo' his mind teased.

Rising groggily from his bed, Kyran gave a quiet yawn and rubbed his eyes, glancing around. He was waking up late, as usual. Not much of a surprise there. Standing, he slowly dressed from his previous day's clothes- having not bothered to put on sleepwear the night before- into a fresh outfit.
Once dressed, he trudged down the stairs and into the common room. He was late, but not missing any classes, at least. Deciding to skip breakfast, Kyran instead just seated himself in front of the fireplace and tried to focus on getting himself fully awake.

"If I get asked then yes, I'll go, but I may or may not if I don't get asked." She sighed softly, " Lots of drama sparks up at things like this sometimes, speaking from personal experience," She muttered the last part under her breath, but her smile returned quickly, " You seem pretty... jumpy? What'sa matter? Does dancing make you nervous?" She teased, jumping a few steps ahead of Percy before sticking her tongue out at him.

Percy raised his eyebrows, finally snapping fully fro his thoughts "Ha ha. I'll have you know I'm an amazing dancer from being forced to take dance lessons from my dad" he grinned. Percy seemed back to his normal self. Back to old cheeky, flirty, confident, sarcastic Percy. Percy reached out and grabbed her hand before twirling her "Though my father always made me dance with my grandma. Ugh" he said with a laugh then smiled at her. He quickly released her hand after a moment but only smiled.

Arabella walks down the corridor thinking about earlier. She was quite rude and she didn't like coming off that way. Her shining blue eyes look around the hall examining all the students.

Piper laughed when Percy twirled her around, she blushed slightly when she saw a Ravenclaw staring at them. " Well, I can't say I was forced to dance with my grandpa, but my mum did show me how to dance." She smiled softly. " My mum loves this type of stuff, so I'm sure if she hears about it she'll be send me owls non-stop telling me to get a date, dress nicely, blah blah blah." She groaned, " Sometimes I think she wishes she was still at Hogwarts."

Percy smiled. He was glad her mother cared. He wished he could say the same. For now his mother was bedridden and his father could care less about some stupid ball. He almost frowned at the thoughts but hearing Piper laugh he couldn't help but stop smiling. "Well I have no dought you wont get a date" he said then gave a nervous laugh. 'Ohhh someone might ask her before you. Shots fired' his mind teased but he focused on Piper. No time to argue with himself. "So when is the ball?" he asked after another short moment of silence.

Jayden shut the book in his hands softly, before placing it back in his bag and zipping it up. He placed the bag back into the boys' dormitory, beside his bed, and headed out into the corridors. He hummed a tune quietly until he reached the Great Hall, and instantly headed for the Ravenclaw table, where he sat and occupied himself with thoughts silently.
