Charlie pulled out her gun, doing her best to look relaxed as she headed towards the burning gas station. She could feel the heat from five feet away from the door, almost singing her skin. Was that how it was supposed to feel? People ran inside burning buildings all the time in movies, and this was not what her experience with fire said the heat should be like.
"...Is it just me, or is it kinda hot in here?" She asked.

Charlie moved closed to the door, using the hand she wasn't holding her gun with to throw open the door, wincing slightly and taking a step back as flames erupted.
"Definitely... too... hot..." She managed, moving back again, "I don't think we can enter. Guess we wait to see if whatever is causing this exits."

"There's some one inside!" Charlie hissed, brown eyes widening as she watched the flames. "Man, I think it looks like a kid. Definitely not adult-size, at least. "
Grabbed the door knob, she moved closer, coughing because of the smoke, before turning around to face Colette again.
"I-I can't tell if it's... a vic, or the monster," She said helplessly.
