Setting the stick down, Gregor gave the wolf a kind and warm smile despite knowing what it had done only moments before. After all, wolves were loyal and protective creatures. No doubt there were young wolves nearby, and this one felt that its young were endangered by the sudden appearance of a stranger in these parts of the forest. "Calm yourself, my friend. She means your family no harm and simply wishes to pass through. Would you be so kind as to allow us to do this?" Turning away from the wolf at the sound of the girl falling down to her knees after no doubt attempting to get up, Gregor knelt on one knee before her, taking hold of the ankle that seemed to bed in a way an ankle should never bend. His hands, as one would expect, were soft from his work with flour yet rough from working near fire, but they still carried a gentleness within them as he pressed a thumb into her ankle, testing to see if it was indeed twisted. "This is no good, Milady. You are no condition to travel alone at this point. You would be hard-pressed to even ride a horse."
