Gregor froze in place the moment he heard a girl's scream not too far from his own location. Now, as he passed through these woods quite often, the young baker was well aware of the fact that wolves had made their home within the deepest parts of the forest. Not all of them were bad, though they would attack when they didn't recognize who was entering their territory. While Gregor may be able to pass through safely, others may not have such luck if they went through unaided. Pulling his cart off the road, Gregor made his way through the tree line towards the source of the shriek. As soon as he could see what was going on, his pace increased. Princess Lillian was cornered by a wolf, one who seemed to be quite angry. Of course, Gregor could say with no uncertainty that he did not know this particular wolf. As such, he searched for a large stick and, finding and picking one up, positioned himself between the princess and her assailant. "Get ye back, foul beast. You shall not lay a hand on this girl."
