((yes raina and pretty much everyone else is they just haven't posted yet my character Arina is also open i'm likely going to have her working with pasha also i'm going to probably put a section on first page for project mearas members i was thinking of putting 10 as number of people left who survived in program but i'm thinking i should reduce that number a bit maybe make it less like say 4 people including my two characters which would bring total of six surviving members or do you think i should do less then that))

Name: Raven Darkhólme

Superhero Anti-hero Name: Mystique

Age: Nobody knows for sure the age of Mystique

Gender: She is a female, but her mutant ability allows her look like either sex.

Mystique is 5 feet 10 inches tall, and weighs 120 pounds.

Appearance: Mystique can take the form of any human being, male and female alike. She has yellow eyes, which, in her true form, have no apparent pupils. Her hair is red orange, but in her human form, it is black. She has the strength of a normal human female and the normal build for someone who frequently works out.

Powers: Mystique is a mutant metamorph. She can psionically shift the atoms and molecules of her body and of whatever clothing she is wearing so as to change her and its appearance. As a result she can cause herself to look and sound like an exact duplicate of any human, humanoid, or semi-humanoid being of either sex, wearing virtually any kind of clothing. Her control is so exact that she can precisely duplicate another person's retina pattern in her own eyes, finger, palm and skin-pore patterns on her own hands and skin, and vocal cords to match voices to the point of corresponding voiceprints.

Mystique, however, is limited by her inability to diminish or increase her own mass at will. As a result, while she can make herself look exactly like a person who is physically bigger than herself, she will not weigh as much as the real person does. Although she can maintain the form of a person of her height, weight, and build indefinitely (as with her own appearance as Raven Darkholme), the longer that she maintains the form of a person physically bigger than herself, the greater the strain she feels. If she maintains that bigger form for too long a period, the length of which is directly proportional to the difference in size between that form and her normal one, she will collapse and automatically revert to her normal form.

Mystique cannot duplicate the powers of the person she imitates: for example, when she turned herself into a duplicate of Nightcrawler, she did not gain the ability to teleport.

As yet Mystique has not demonstrated any ability to adopt the form of non-humanoid beings, animals, plants, or non-living objects. It is conjectured that she could not imitate any of these without interfering with the proper functioning of her internal organs and possibly dying, but the truth, like much regarding Mystique, remains shrouded.

History: Little has been revealed about Mystique's past. Indeed, since she can eliminate the outward signs of aging with her shape-changing power, it is not known exactly how old she is. She apparently learned to use her shape-changing power at a very early age, for there is no evidence known to the public or the United States government that Raven Darkholme ever looked like anything but a normal human being. Years ago Mystique had an affair with the mutant Sabretooth and they had a son, Graydon Creed, the recently assassinated presidential candidate. Mystique has also claimed to be the mother of Nightcrawler, a member of the X-Men, as the result of a liaison with another, unnamed man. Mystique is known to be a longtime friend of the mutant Destiny who is now deceased. At some point in recent years Mystique became the protectress of the young mutant named Rogue, and looked upon Rogue as a surrogate daughter.

At the same time she maintained another identity, that of Mallory Brickman, the wife of U.S. Senator Ralph Brickman. They even had a daughter, Gloria.

Mystique had concealed her superhuman powers and criminal intentions so well over the years that, as Darkholme, she was able to rise rapidly through the United States Civil Service to the trusted position of Deputy Director of the Defense Advanced Research Planning Agency (DARPA) in the United States Department of Defense. This position gave her access to military secrets and to advanced weaponry, both of which she used for her own criminal and subversive purposes.

To help her in her criminal activities, Mystique organized the third incarnation of the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants, which originally consisted of herself, Avalanche, the Blob, Destiny, and Pyro. Mystique named her group after the original Brotherhood of Evil Mutants, a subversive organization founded by Magneto in his criminal days.

The third Brotherhood first became notorious when it attempted to intimidate the public by assassinating Senator Robert Kelly, who was investigating what he perceived as the possible menace posed by the existence of superhuman mutants and other superhuman beings. The X-Men thwarted the assassination attempt, and the Brotherhood later clashed with the X-Men on other occasions, as well as with the Avengers and Dazzler. Rogue was a member of the Brotherhood for a time, but finally left to join the X-Men, in order to find help in learning how to deal with her superhuman powers.

Recently, anti-mutant sentiment among normal human beings has greatly increased, and the federal government has launched its own covert anti-mutant program, Project Wideawake. Believing that the times had thus become too dangerous for the Brotherhood to continue its criminal activities, Mystique went to Dr. Valerie Cooper, special assistant to the head of the National Security Council, and offered the Brotherhood's services to the government. Cooper agreed to convey the offer to the President, on the condition that the Brotherhood pass a test she imposed: the capture of Magneto. The Brotherhood, now renamed Freedom Force, succeeded in bringing Magneto to the authorities (although, in fact, they did so only because he voluntarily surrendered to them), and soon afterwards officially entered the government's employ.

In return for entering the government's employ as Freedom Force's leader, Mystique received a presidential pardon for all criminal charges against her, but the pardon would be revoked if any member of Freedom Force was found committing a crime.

Raina chased a secluded area of the park and began aiming at trees. She took a piece of chalk out of her pocket and made a single dot on the tree. She then paces herself sixty meters away and nocked an arrow and raised the bow, drawing it back to full strength. She aimed at the tree and released. The black lightweight arrow gliding through the air and it hit its mark. She retrieved it and looked back at the tower. She had always looked up the the avengers, especially Black Widow. She was her favorite out of the all, tied with Hawkeye. She thought of her as a role model and someone powerful. Hawkeye was another who she looked up to, for his archery was legendary. She would love to meet any one of them in person

Female shifter mutant tags; open

Mystique was in the sleek form of a blonde female. She had bright green eyes, and she looked around 25 years old. She was walking through the crowded New York streets, heading for circus. Maybe she could find some of her own. She just happened to find one (What are the odds?) and she started towards the entrance. It seemed to be closed. Mystique didn't care. She flicked the door open, and waltzed in like she owned the place. Surprisingly, she found a man standing inside. It looked like he was rehearsing something. "Excuse me?" She called, testing out her voice. "Hi, I'd like to know when the next show will be?" She took a moment to asses the man. He was handsome, no doubt, but was he nice? Would he willingly say Oh, the next show won't be for awhile. Or would he say Go away! The circus was obviously closed! The mutant judged by character, not looks. Her eyes flickered shut as she awaited an answer.

"in about a day or two currently just practicing for next show and trying to watch out for animal rights groups. Theres real problem with animal rights groups protesting and attempting to poison my the big cats here they believe we don't treat them right they get worse when they learn I'm a skinchanger i've already had them try and throw lye in the cages the cats aren't exactly the kind of animals to just eat things people throw in their cages. they tried to put anti freeze in the water bowls earlier today i caught them doing it had them arrested. It amazes me the things people will go through to attempt to discredit a circus and make them look bad." he said and added "we're second biggest circus in united states next ringling brothers and yet we get accused of mistreatment when it's not really happening. Animal rights groups always go after the largest circuses regardless of whether theres really any mistreatment or not. I chase em off every chance i get by using my abilities to shift into a large animal or something but they usually come back unless i call the police in which case they come back the next day." he said

-Loki Laufeyson-
As Mystique walked through the streets of New York, a tall figure had passed her by. Though to him, she appeared just as any other lowly mortal crowding the streets, and so she was of no concern to him. He merely passed her by. His attention was briefly drawn to a large poster that advertised a 'circus', as mortals called them, that would apparently be performing in one of these earth buildings soon. Truthfully though, he had no taste for such midgardian traditions, and so he kept moving. On occasion, he had enjoyed watching 'plays' with his bro- not brother a few centuries ago, but things have changed. He has more pressing matters to attend to now, and he certainly wouldn't be caught dead on an outing with his not-brother, Thor.
Pulling his hood up a bit further over his head, Loki cautiously wove his way through the crowd. He would never admit it, but he felt a little uncomfortable roaming these streets. The streets, the buildings, the people... he had nearly destroyed them all. He feels no remorse, though. They're still ants, but they're ants that could crush him now. He is injured. He can't shift into another form, and he wouldn't be able to properly defend himself if caught. If one of these midgardians recognized him, how long would it take before someone attacked? He shook his head, trying to clear his mind.
Why did the portal lead him to New York? Why couldn't he have landed in some Norwegian town, or maybe Iceland. At least he had never attacked anyone from Iceland... or at least no one from this time period. No one that could hold a grudge, anyway. Lost in thought, he had barely even registered leaving the busy New York streets behind, his legs carrying him to the tranquility of some sort of 'park', as they're called. Well, relatively tranquil until an arrow literally flies past his head. He immediately panics, only knowing of one human around here who's weapon is a bow and arrow.
They've found me. Oh Gods, they've already found me.
As he turns around, though, hands up with a spell on his tongue, he does not see the Hawk, as he had expected to, but some midgarian girl.

Raina whirled around to see a tall man, about middle aged. "I am so sorry, are you okay? Also,How did you find me..." She asked softly. She then rested her hand on her saxe knife's hilt and walked over to the tree and retrieved her arrow, and put it back into the quiver. She unstrung the bow and held the bow and gave him a smile.

Loki's eyes narrowed sightly, a well aimed insult nearly slipping from his tongue, but he held it. He is not in the best shape at the moment, and angering someone currently wielding a weapon might not be wise. His face is mostly hidden by shadow, compliments of the hooded jacket that he had managed to snag from some drunken man he had found slumped against one of this city's buildings, but someone paying closer attention to him than the random passerby would still be able to make out his features. Luckily, this woman seems to not have recognized him yet, which calms his nerves slightly.
"I am unharmed, if that is what you are asking. Your arrow had simply caught me off guard. That is all."
He allows for a smile to tug at his lips. Warm, non predatory, Innocent; A mask to hide behind. He presents himself to this mortal as an average, nonthreatening, human man. A man who had, unfortunately, not been looking where he was going. It's almost true. He had been distracted, and genuinely hadn't meant to walk into the path of her... he glances at the tree... 'target'. However, he was anything but harmless. While his magic had been damaged in his escape to this planet, and his pursuers had done some harm to his body as well, his strength was still superior to one mortal girl. He is confident that he could take her down, if needed.
"And I hadn't been looking for you. I just simply wasn't paying attention to where my feet were leading me." He also adds in reply.
