Yuki turned the hallway corner and accidently bumped into some kid. "Oh sorry." She suddenly clutched the pendant on her neck as it burned against her skin and looked up to see a green haired kid.

He sighed. "It's ok." He said grumpily, not opening his eyes. Finally he opened one eye, and looked at her. "Are you a Meister?" He asked curiously, one bright yellow eye open, eyeing her. "A Meister without a weapon?" He'd have to figure out her personality, quickly, before they became friends and all. He really didn't trust people. That usually led to suffering, betrayal, and death. And none of those things sounded very good. The girl seemed kind. What was with that pendant she held so closely? Hmm... He didn't really like that pendant. He felt there was something about it, and he didn't really trust somethings. He quietly eyed her thinking, and awaiting an answer.

Mango, I apologize for my inactivity the past day or so, but I feel so... bleh right now that I fell asleep last night at 7:30 PM, and I still don't feel good enough to type up a post. If I feel better tonight, I'll type a reply. But if not, expect a reply at some point tomorrow. ;u; ))

If it wasn't for the fact that she knew she was on the verge of falling asleep and was in no condition to walk back to where he lived, Katie would have put up a fight as soon as he picked her up. Most of the time, if someone so much as made the beginning movement to pick her up, she would slap them and freak out. But this time, she just kind of sighed and relaxed in Kid's arms, leaning against him. She didn't even bother to hold onto him anymore - she just kind of let her one arm dangle, and the other was draped across her stomach. "Thanks, Kid. I'm gonna have to pay you back for all this sometime," she said quietly, glancing up at him with tired sapphire blue eyes. At his words, she merely nodded slightly, not particularly caring how degrading she thought this felt and the fact that her still somewhat messy hair was obscuring her vision a bit. "Okay, thanks," Katie murmured, staring at him for a few moments before relaxing again. Without another word, the brunette closed her eyes, deciding it was time to stop fighting her fatigue and just give in to it. After all, she trusted Kid, Liz and Patty, and she knew that she would wake up just fine. If it was anyone else, she would probably refuse to fall asleep in fear that they would do something to her, but the three of them? Hell, she trusted them with her life, so she didn't care. Within moments of closing her eyes, the girl slipped into a state of light sleep, which was surely going to be replaced with a state of deep sleep soon, thanks to the painkillers she took.

Kid smiled, knowing she would try and pay him back. "You don't need to. Just think of it as a favor that does not need to be returned.." But his comment fell on deaf ears, since she had already fallen asleep. He looked down at her in his arms, his cheeks dusted a light pink. He didn't realize that he liked her until just this moment, the realization hitting him like an unsymmetrical slap to the face. He looked back to where he was walking, going home. He didn't bother with his skateboard, considering the fact that he would rather take as much time as possible right now.

Yuki glared at him for a second before answering. "So what if I'm a meister without a weapon? Let me guess, your a weapon without a meister." She smirked and once she saw him glance at her pendant, she let go of it. "I'm Yuki Suzumo, and this is my second year."

She was observant. Good for battle, not for small talk. Though he was very observant, but it was needed since he trusted no one. "Otoko Sing." He said quietly. "... Why do you not have a weapon?" He asked after a moment. It's a bit strange not to have a weapon, especially in your second year...

Yuki glanced before he could see the flash of sadness that covered her red eyes before looking up with a determined expression. "I feel no need to tell you, but I did have a partner last year. Her name was Lindsay." She adjusted the small red ribbon tied around her right wrist and looked back at him. "Why are you so interested?"

"Hm... No reason..." He noticed the sadness in her eyes and took note of that. Something must have happened to this Lindsey... He decided not to press this subject. He straightened his fedora. "Just wondering if I might have found a Meister, that's all." He muttered quietly, smirking slightly. He paused awaiting an answer or reaction.

Yuki had a mischievous smile when she heard him say that. "Well, I've been looking for a weapon. After all, a second year without a partner seems pretty foolish."

As she fell into a light state of sleep, Katie's body became completely relaxed, almost to the point where she was limp in Kid's arms. Her breathing slowed and eventually evened out as well, and she leaned her head against Kid's chest for support. Since she was still a bit aware of her surroundings, she subconsciously acknowledged what he said, but she didn't actually process it. All she did was smile very faintly at the sound of his voice and slip into a deeper state of sleep. For once, her thoughts weren't consumed with awful, haunting memories that she always kept hidden. Instead, the brunette's thoughts were occupied with Kid.
