Mango, I apologize for my inactivity the past day or so, but I feel so... bleh right now that I fell asleep last night at 7:30 PM, and I still don't feel good enough to type up a post. If I feel better tonight, I'll type a reply. But if not, expect a reply at some point tomorrow. ;u; ))

If it wasn't for the fact that she knew she was on the verge of falling asleep and was in no condition to walk back to where he lived, Katie would have put up a fight as soon as he picked her up. Most of the time, if someone so much as made the beginning movement to pick her up, she would slap them and freak out. But this time, she just kind of sighed and relaxed in Kid's arms, leaning against him. She didn't even bother to hold onto him anymore - she just kind of let her one arm dangle, and the other was draped across her stomach. "Thanks, Kid. I'm gonna have to pay you back for all this sometime," she said quietly, glancing up at him with tired sapphire blue eyes. At his words, she merely nodded slightly, not particularly caring how degrading she thought this felt and the fact that her still somewhat messy hair was obscuring her vision a bit. "Okay, thanks," Katie murmured, staring at him for a few moments before relaxing again. Without another word, the brunette closed her eyes, deciding it was time to stop fighting her fatigue and just give in to it. After all, she trusted Kid, Liz and Patty, and she knew that she would wake up just fine. If it was anyone else, she would probably refuse to fall asleep in fear that they would do something to her, but the three of them? Hell, she trusted them with her life, so she didn't care. Within moments of closing her eyes, the girl slipped into a state of light sleep, which was surely going to be replaced with a state of deep sleep soon, thanks to the painkillers she took.

Toki Kataoka -|- A small shrug set his eyes on her own orbs his blond bangs falling over his right eye, a bored expression on his face as he watched a small smile playing on his lips. Then again, his smile was not one from happiness it was more twisted and devilish in his own special way. The Ookami looked to her with the corners of his lips curved lightly, his sharp k-9's glimmering against the sunlight that filtered in through the windows and pillars of the structure he was leaning on. The bushy tail which was behind him swayed leisurely from one side of his body to the other. "Then again, I am an Ookami. So, people are sure to be captured by curiosity when they see someone with the tail and ears of a canine." He says, his dull tone hinting with amusement as she seemed to be confused as to why she wasn't making his life brighter.

Once she moved closer to Nico and took ahold of his arm, Abigail felt her meister tense up for a second. Briefly, she considered moving away from him, but she was honestly in no state to pull away from him, especially with her irrational fear of the darkness enveloping them. The only things keeping her grounded right now were both Nico and the light coming from the small flashlight, and she didn't feel like pulling away from him anytime soon. Leaning against him lightly, the still somewhat terrified girl looked around, listening to every single sound that echoed in the tunnel. It was alarmingly quiet, so her acute sense of hearing could pick up just about every single small sound. After telling him that she could hear something, she stopped for a split second to listen closer. The sounds definitely sounded human, and she could tell that it was a child that had been crying for quite some time. Now, even though she didn't possess the ability of soul perception, she could sense that the child's life force was weak, and it was a miracle that the poor kid was still alive. Other than this one child, she couldn't hear or sense anything else, which meant that there was only one of three children still surviving from being taken by the kishin. Walking alongside Nico, she held onto him as they turned a corner, coming into a much wider space. Stopping to examine their surroundings, she came to the conclusion that this was once a stop for the ancient train, and the child was definitely in here somewhere. Glancing around, she blocked out everything except for the faint sounds of sniffling, breathing and sobbing. Her acute sense of hearing combined with her caring, motherly instincts allowed her to quickly locate the exact spot the child was at. "Nico, shine the light in that general direction," she whispered, pointing in front of them to the right a bit. Slowly and hesitantly letting go of him, she began making her way over to the child, acknowledging that the child was being extremely quiet now that they heard the two of them, undoubtedly horrified of who they were and what they might want. "Hey, you don't need to be afraid. We're here to help you and get you out of here, okay? I promise we're not going to hurt you, or let anything else hurt you for that matter," she said softly in the most gentle, caring tone of voice she could muster. Seconds later, she crouched down in front of the area the child was in, and soon after, she spotted movement. A malnourished, bloodied and somewhat beaten up little girl started making her way out of her hiding spot, her eyes landing on Abigail. She must have been able to hear the kindness in her voice, because it didn't take much for her to come out in response to her voice. The blonde smiled reassuringly at the little girl, outstretching her arms as an invitation for the little girl to come over to her. "I promise you can trust me and my friend, okay? We're gonna get you out of here and back to your family," she said softly, her heart nearly shattering at how scared the little girl looked. Even though the girl looked scared, she couldn't help it anymore and weakly darted over to Abigail, throwing herself into the weapon's arms and holding onto her. Wrapping her arms around the broken little girl, she did everything she could to soothe her before she stood up, holding the girl in her arms and turning to look at Nico. The poor little girl was sobbing uncontrollably now, and it was obvious it pained her to see such a small child so hurt and afraid. "Well, at least we saved one of them," she said sadly, making her way back over to Nico. It broke her heart to know that the other two children were gone by the looks of it, but at least they had managed to save one.

Isabella watched Toki with curious, bright hazel eyes, quickly noticing the small smile playing on his lips. For some reason, she got the feeling that it looked a bit twisted and devilish, but she didn't let that phase her in the slightest bit. Taking notice to his sharp canine teeth, she blinked in slight surprise, before mentally yelling at herself. Of course he had sharp canine teeth - he was an Ookami, for god's sake! Nodding in understanding to him, she smiled quite widely at him, shrugging a bit. "I will admit, it's not something I see everyday and it's pretty cool that you're an Ookami," she said all too cheerfully, still reminding herself not to talk too loudly for his liking.

Listening to him announce his name to her, Emma merely nodded her head ever so slightly, the mess of jet black hair once again shifting around a bit as she did so. "Well, James, if you don't mind, I have... business to attend to," she said flatly, trying to think of a logical excuse as to why she wanted to get away from him if he asked what she was going to do. If it wasn't for the fact that she had such a thick, protective shell around her real personality, she probably would have liked James. But every fiber of her being was screaming at her that he was a no good traitor, just like every other guy she has ever come into contact with and has gotten close to. Maybe I can just say that I need to go get ready for a mission, or I was on my way to get one... even though I don't have a weapon partner yet. Yeah, that'll work. He doesn't know anything about me besides my name, so it's not like he'd suspect me lying, she thought, before stepping aside to walk past him. "Pleasure meeting you, though," she said, making sure that it sounded like she was pissed off by his mere presence, as well as sounding like she didn't remotely care about him. Which, at the moment, she could care less about him, and she just wanted to get away. Beginning to walk past him, she shoved her hands back into her pockets, making sure to keep up the intimidating aura and the air of authority.

Ok, I think I've got it but I'm not sure how this will play out...))

James smiled and was about to respond right when his brother stepped in and greeted the two."Why if it isn't my twin brother. Found yourself a new friend hmm? Well you've found a lovely one at that brother." Jesse said grinning. James turn slightly and gave Jesse a cold shoulder "Hello brother.." James replied coldly his gaze becoming glaciers towards Jesse.

As soon as she was about to start walking away, Emma saw someone that looked nearly identical to James - the only difference was their clothing. Stopping dead in her tracks, she turned back around and stared at Jesse like she was looking directly into his soul - which, she kind of was, since she was using soul perception to look at his soul. Upon peering at his soul, her eye twitched slightly in annoyance, as he was already managing to make her skin crawl even more so than James did. "Friend my ass. I just met him," she said, her tone void of emotion as she jabbed a finger in James's direction. However, there was an underlying tone of annoyance and irritation. Crossing her arms, the jet black haired girl stared at him with those deadly icy blue eyes of hers, scowling at him. Well, it seemed as if she had one thing in common with James. It had only been a few seconds, yet she absolutely loathed his brother already.
