You're playing Oblivion one evening after a long day at work, but something doesn't feel right. All of your characters have been deleted! You think it's just a corruption in the game, so you stifle a sigh and start a new file. Instead of the usual scene that starts out with Uriel Septim, you're taken straight to character creation. That's weird. This is starting to feel less like a corrupted glitch. You keep going. You notice by the background behind your character that you're at the Gates of Madness, and Haskill is standing there, staring... waiting. There are chills running down your spine. All of a sudden, your power cuts out! What the heck?! The television comes back on, but its a strange glow that's growing. You hear a strange twinkling. You feel drawn to the glowing... You stick out a hand, and it disappears. It appears to be a portal! Before you can even withdraw your hand, you're sucked inside, and you appear at the beginning of the Shivering Isles DLC, in the butterfly house, Haskill at his chair beckoning you to have a seat. Once you do, he explains that Lord Sheogorath wanted to have some fun. He sucked a bunch of people from all sorts of places from our dimension to see how they survive in the Shivering Isles. You have been selected, and must travel to New Sheoth to meet Sheogorath. Best of luck!
