Avery nodded half-heartedly at War. She wasn't really listening to the babbling nonsense now. " Maybe we'll luck out and not have classes this week, it'll be too hectic to learn anything with everyone buzzing around." She said hopefully to Sam, " I could use a break from classes." She smiled. She gazed over to War, sighing and listening to the new topic of "Is that cat Lyra?"

Lyra's ear twitched and she rolled her eyes. She quite enjoyed being a cat. Lyra glanced at everyone to see their reactions. Avery didn't seem to be affected, while Sam looked a bit awkward and Lyra didn't blame him. Lyra leaped off the table, sat down and looked at War expectantly. Lyra had been a cat for quite some time and enjoyed it, but she knew she couldn't stay a cat forever.

War nods and points her wand at Lyra, then murmurs something. A few seconds later, Lyra was back to her human self. "Who did this, now?" she questions. "I'd like to Transfigure them a bit to see how they like it."

"Oh. Right. Okay then." Sam said as casually as possible, swallowing down how awkward he felt. Clearing his throat to hide his thoughts, he turned back to Avery to answer her remark.
"Yeah, I know, right? It's gonna be impossible for someone to not mention the ball." He snorted, rolling his eyes. Meanwhile, he was thinking.
Yet I still have no one to go with. Should I ask Avery, or War?

" Can you imagine how may people are going to need to see Snape for love potion antidotes?" She almost laughed, " I heard a Ravenclaw already was spiked with Amortentia." Avery had actually seen the scenario on her way to breakfast, a couple of Ravenclaws had almost pushed the poor boy downstairs because he was being so stubborn. " Quite a sight really..." She trailed off, still smiling.

Lyra stood up. She grinned at War's threat. "Some Slytherins were bullying a first year Ravenclaw. I distracted and humiliated them a bit by calling them unintelligent beings," she explained. "I turned my back to them to go to the common room. And then I became a cat. So I bit the Slytherin and they ran like it was the end of the world. That was amusing, I must say." She laughed. "Lesson learned: don't turn your back to a Slytherin, no offense Avery, or you get turned into a cat."

War snorts, then covers her mouth with her hand. "Ooh, sounds rough," she says and winks. "I'd like to be a cat, or a dog." she says and leans the side of her face on the hand that was propped up on her elbow.

"That'll be hilarious." He snickered, following Avery's gaze to a couple of Ravenclaws accidentally nearly knocking an innocent boy off the stairs. He chuckled at the sight of it.

War murmurs, "I'll probably be going by myself; an independent woman. I'll even dance with myself if I want to. Though, I'm probably just going there for the food." she shrugs. "I honestly don't know yet, but I have a lot of time to think about it."
