The receptionist let out an annoyed sigh, clearly not happy about coming to work as usual. She wrote out Nat's tardy slip and ripped it off of the pad of slips and handed it to him before turning her attention back to her computer, motioning with her hand as a signal to Nat to leave.

Nat rolled his eyes, "Thanks," he walked out of the office and stuffed the note in his pocket before rummaging in his bag for his class schedule, he would just have to drop everything off at his locket later on he ruled, before heading off to English class, not looking for to it really. While he enjoyed reading a bit, he almost never liked being assigned books and projects and such.

Tasha walked into the dead silent classroom and all eyes went on her, and disliked it very much so. The english teacher looked over at Tasha, looking displeased that she was late and disrupting his class. Tasha down casted her eyes and slowly made her way over to his desk, handing him the tardy slip before hurrying to the back of the room to take a seat. Even when she sat down people were looking at her, and she tried not to notice.

Nat stepped into the classroom a few minutes after Tasha, yawning slightly as he ignored the once again silent room. He walked over to the teacher and handed him his tardy slip, not bothering to say a word as he headed toward the back of the room and sat down in a seat by the window. Secretly enjoying the cloudy sky outside, knowing a thunderstorm was probably brewing up. He planned to go on a run in the forest tonight to get a bit of freedom, the thunder would hide most of his howls he thought, pleased. He waited for the teacher to begin.

Tasha didn't pay much attention to the teacher as he went on about his little speach, telling them about what they are going to be learning this year, what they needed, and what was expected of them. Tasha jolted upright slightly when she heard the teacher call her name, "Class, this is out new student from Ohio. Tasha Fields." he introduced, causing Tasha to sink back in her seat as she prayed she had the power to disapear. The class turned to look at her as few of the girls whispered to eachother, clearly making up new gossip. "Tasha, how 'bout you come up here and tell us about yourself." said the english teacher, looking expectantly at her. Tasha gave him a look that seemed to read 'you got to be kidding me', but she got up anyways with a sigh and went in front of the class. "Yeah, i'm Tasha from Ohio. I moved here with my mom after...actually nevermind why I moved here." she sighed again, "I like drawing and sitting outdoors, I played volleyball back at my school, and thats about it." she shrugged, looking at the teacher with a begging expression to let her be. The teacher nodded, and Tasha quickly made it back to her seat in the back.

Nat studied the new girl, recognizing Tasha from the parking lot, he was curious as to what she had decided to not tell the class about her mom but ignored that thought. He looked out the window again, not really listening to the murmured conversations and gossip the rest of the class had already started, they were so stupid some times, he rolled his eyes. He actually thought it was funny how many bets were going around that he would be the next serial killer just because he was fawning over the 'hot' girls of the school and kept to himself.

Tasha kept quiet for the rest of the class, until someone poked her in the ribs. She jolted in surprise, then glanced to her right and noticed a girl looking at her smiling. "Hey, i'm Jane." she whispered so that the teacher wouldn't hear. Jane held out her hand for a hand shake, and Tasha accepted it happily. She seemed nice, and Tasha thought this school year might not be as bad as she thought. Tasha smiled alittle when Jane started rambling about the school and how this place was great, She's a talker, I can tell. she mused in her head, staring off in the distance as she payed little attention to what she was saying, she was basically repeating everything again.

Nat noticed Jane start talking to Tasha and rolled his eyes, less then a class and Jane's already talking the new girl's ears off. He looked away, paying little attention to the teacher but trying to seem as if he did so that he wouldn't get into trouble.
Nat hid a muffled yawn as he leaned his chin into one of his palms, wondering whether or not the teacher was going to be assigning any homework for the day, it would be funny if he did since so few would actually do it anyway. Nat, for one, would just rush through the paper and barely even look at it. He did have a knack for getting the answers right through, so it evened up most of the time.

Class ended by the ring of the bell, and the english teacher decided not to assign homework, since her said the first day was stressful and didn't want to add to it. Tasha rolled her eyes as he said that, Yeah, tell me about it. she mused, rubbing the side of her head with a sigh. Jane was testing her limits on how much Tasha could handle her talking and continuing rambles, and was surprised that she didn't snap like most did. Tasha put her stuff into her bag and headed out of the class room, avoiding the preps who were staring her down. Tasha almost fell flat on her face when someone almost intentionally tried to trip her. Tasha looked up hesitantly as a girl, obviously a prep, smirking. Tasha down casted her eyes again and moved past her, not in the mood to start a fight on the first day. She walked into her next class, math, and sat down in the back again.

Nat watched the display as he waited for most of the room to clear out before standing, shifting his bag onto his back as he read his class schedule, it was pretty much average, he sighed as he walked out of the room and set off downstairs for wood shop, half wishing he could skip the rest of the day as he sat down and waited for Mr. Jones to start class. He knew most of today would be like the first class and didn't really pay attention until she started handing out their first assignment sheet; for the next week they would be working on a simple bird house.
