"Well," she hesitated, looking at the castle. No guards were outside looking for her. Perhaps today was one of the days when her stepmother really didn't care where she went. "Alright. I suppose it would be fine. And I don't mind your reading. I like it myself, every now and then."

She smiled brightly and grabbed the girl's hand. "Of course I would! Come on!" She started to skip, dragging Belle along with her. It reminded her of when her father was still alive, when she was merely a child, and how she used to play with any children that came to the castle, even servants' children. When the king married her stepmother, that practice had ended. The queen said it wasn't ladylike to frolic about with commoners.

Belle smiled and did the same keeping up, she looked around smiling. "Such beauty in something so different..like a rose, it's beauty shows once it blooms." She whispered carefully watching her steps, "Maybe we will meet a prince in disguise here."

She giggled,a tinkling, musical sound. "Do princes really even wear disguises? They've always seemed to parade around in a flashy manner to me. I've never cared for them, personally. But I'll have to learn. My stepmother is talking about..." She paused, then uttered the word like it was poisonous. "Betrothal."

"In the stories I've read a prince is..he had a spell on him and a girl ended up breaking it. Shouldn't you be happy for your step mother's betrothal?"

"What an interesting story. And it's not my stepmother who is going to be betrothed. She is going to force me into an arranged marriage sooner or later. "For the cause of peace" is what she says. But sometimes I think she just wants to get rid of me."

"True love or marriage should not be forced. It's unfair how others treat their own family, forcing them to commit something so special such as marriage when they don't love each other. That reminds me of someone I despise, he is completely ugh I can't explain."
