Asuka nodded at that."Ah...so you grew up in wall Maria, It makes sense considering you being 19, As i promised i'll tell you now, I came from a place far different from where you grew up. I came from the Underground city. The place located underneath the safest and smallest wall, Wall Sina. The place i lived was a place plagued in darkness, no natural light could filter through besides one high little Alcove that you could not reach unless you could use the gear, I lived my life in poverty and hunger. I was a thug basically because of my age i was born in the year 828. To a no show father and Sickly mother who died when i was six and then i wandered and starved among others. I lost sight in my eye because of a fight i got into when i was 12, He had a sword, i had a knife. I barely did survive that day but my one wish above all was to see the sun that the outsiders talked about. Even if it was only once or a glimpse. I just wanted to see it, Eventually i managed to pay the gate toll which is what people of the underground had to do to go above ground and i joined the survey corps after that, That is why i have such pale skin and red eyes, both from lack of sunlight."
