Happy Monday! Yeah, Right. You have your homework done right? Dont be late. It's time to wake up! This is your first day back. Time to see what the day holds. No despair, and no suffering, hopefully!

Harui slammed her hand down on her alarms snooze button. It was too early. Was holiday already over? She was not ok with that. Isn't it weird that most hyper people do not like mornings? She finally drug herself out of bed, took her ADHD pills, and headed to school. Breakfast was for chumps anyways. Plus she was gonna be late if she took that extra time.

Mayumi opened her eyes and slowly turned to stare at her alarm clock. Two more minutes before she'd have to get up. Not worth the disappointment of trying and failing to get more sleep. She reached over and turned it off, sitting up and looking around the room for a brief moment. Everything was clean, neat and orderly, as it often was anytime she was on break. She dressed herself in her uniform, grabbed her violin case and schoolbag, and went to the kitchen for breakfast. She made okayu (after all, she always allowed herself more time than she could possibly need in the morning, had to be prepared in case of witches... or best friends falling behind schedule) and ate in silence, staring out the window at the soft early morning light.

As she finished cleaning up after herself, she checked the clock. Enough time to walk by Kiko's house and then to school with her, and still have time to spare. She left the house and locked up behind her, beginning on the path to her typical morning ritual. When she arrived at Kiko's home, she noticed her friend wasn't waiting for her, and judging by the lack of lights in her window, probably wasn't even awake yet. Mayumi walked close to the window and peered in, then set her bag down and took her violin out in silence. She then began playing, and doing so quite loudly. Once her friend awoke she would continue to play through her morning routine until she was out the door, as was often the case. It was good practice and the neighbors didn't complain. Though honestly the strangest part about this scenario was more likely the fact that she was completely straight-faced while doing all this.

The moment the music started Yukiko's eyes opened. She groaned and pulled her blankets up over her head. And managed to stay that way for about five seconds before she sat up. As was usual, she had bested her alarm clock only to be quickly, and loudly, woken up by years of 'subtle' condition from her best friend. With a sigh Kiko stood, glanced out her window at her friend, then set about trying to track down her school uniform. That grand feat accomplished, she collected her bag and headed out of her room.

She glanced around the quiet, not counting the ever present violin from outside, kitchen before grabbing an apple and heading out the door.

As soon as Kiko opened the door, Mayumi stopped playing and packed up her violin. She walked over to her friend, acknowledging her with a polite nod as if she didn't just wake her up by loudly playing violin outside her window, as she had done nearly every school day for years. "Enjoyed the break from school? You certainly seem to be sleeping well." To anyone who didn't know her, her flat tone would have made her sound callous, and her lack of expression rude, but this was how she usually greeted her friend, playful teasing. She didn't bother to wait for the response, and began walking to school. She knew Kiko would catch up.
