Elaine was trying her hardest not to lash out. "I can understand if 'Scott' died, but ____, if that guy didn't die, I'm going to be angrier than I am now."

I feel awkward for just staring at a girl crying over a dead body and knowing the murderer. To avoid any more awkwardness I slip out of the group and start to run to the bathrooms for privacy.
