Ranrei is a Jinchūriki, meaning she has a Tailed Demon Beast sealed inside of her. The Demon's name is Chōmei, the Seven-Tailed Demon Beast. One of her first abilities is the ability to use Chōmei's chakra, she really only does this when she is out of her own chakra. Ranrei can go into different transformations with Chōmei's help. In her Partial Transformation with Chōmei, she keeps her human form, but she grows claws, sharp teeth, two bug-like wings, and her pupils turn to slits. In her Version 1 Transformation she looks the same as when she is in her Partial Transformation, but is surrounded by green chakra, if not careful someone's hand will be boiled off if they are not careful around her in this transformation. In Version 2 she looks like
this. She can also unleash Chōmei to fight for her, though she rarely does this because it exhausts her. She also knows the five basic Elemental Releases: Lightning, Earth, Wind, Water, and Fire. She also knows the Wood Release.
She can also in her Partial Transformation, on some occasions, grow white horns. They represent the exact horns of her clan's founder, Kaguya Ōtsutsuki.

Personality: Chōmei seems to have a happy, go-lucky personality — which it seemingly shares with its jinchūriki as shown when it introduced itself to Naruto, referring to itself as "Lucky Seven Chōmei" (ラッキーセブン重明, Rakkī sebun Chōmei) which might be an allusion to the fact that it has seven tails and the number seven having long been seen as a lucky as well as happy number. It also had a habit of using lucky in conversation, reflecting its personality.
Powers:
As a tailed beast, Chōmei possesses massive amounts of chakra and can share it with others. Using its wings, it has the ability to fly and can use it to ram its horn into the enemy. It is also able to use the Tailed Beast Ball and insect-based techniques such as the Bug Bite technique as offensives.
