Brad sat down by her and ate his food slowly and carefully. He remember to stay strong or her father would walk all over him. He noticed her father looking him over. He paused from his eating realizing he hadn't really introduced himself. "Oh sir I forgot to mention name is Brad Smith and I bet you notice I'm your daughter's boyfriend," he said looking at him.

Her dad nodded "yes I noticed. How did this happen?" He turned to alice. She shrank in fear "Umm dad.... he saved me from the wolf and...." She whimpered in fear. Dad slammed his hand down on the table "you and that d@mn wolf!! I told you to shot him ten years ago. That wolf has ruined your life and the possibility of you geting a rich husband. What man would want a woman with a scar the size of the rocky mountain. You shame me again alice" Alice looked down tears streaming down her face like a river "I'm sorry dad" she sobbed and ran out of the room for geting brad was even there.

He gently patted the dogs head and walked over to the horses "wow usually horses run away from us. We smell like wolf's to them. How did u ever get them to not be scared?" He asked stroking the horses nose


Alice
She curled up in the hay loft above the barn in yard. She sobbed into her knees
