Lexi heard Kira and walked over to where the noise was coming from "hello?" she called "is someone there?"

Ethan went silent, Safra jumping from his arms and running off. "Safra!" He cried out, trying to be quiet. Kira began to growl, then bark, the hair on the back of her neck standing straight up. She thought the girl was a threat to herself and Ethan. But he glanced around the tree, noticing the girl and standing up. "Kira, stop that." He scolded. "Be nice. She's no threat."

Lexi walked over to Kira "hi cutie" she said then looked at Ethan "can I pet her?" she asked

"Yes, of course." Ethan replied, giving Kira a wary glance. He hoped she didn't try to snap at the girl, not wanting her to get hurt. "Be nice." He warned his dog softly, ruffling her fur. Kira whimpered once, then put her nose out toward Lexi and sniffed the air.

Lexi let Kira sniff her asking permisson to let her pet her.
Selena smiled as the little bird looked up at her

Kira licked Lexi's hand, tackling her to the ground and licking her face as well. Her tail was wagging furiously, and it was obvious that she was enjoying herself. "Kira!" Ethan exclaimed trying to pull the dog off of Lexi. Once he had succeeded in this, he scolding the dog for being so rough. "Sorry about that." He apologized softly. "She usually doesn't act like that. On the bright side, I think she likes you." He smiled, his eyes flickering to Kira then back to Lexi. "most of the time she tries to attack others, thinking everyone is a threat to me, but most the time they aren't. I'm surprised she did that to you actually." He held out his hand, wanting to try to help the girl up.

Lexi took Ethan's hand "it's fine she's such a sweetie, I love dogs" she said ((wb))

Ethan smiled, beginning to blush slightly. "Ya, she usually is. Unless she can tell that someone is a definite threat. But she only acts tough and fierce at first to scare off anyone that could cause any harm to any of us." He motioned to both him and the dog, then sighed, glancing around. "But it seemed we're missing one." He added with a slight smile.
