Leah laid there, motionless in the grass, having not barely been affected by his efforts. Her heart began to slow, almost inaudible. Her lungs began to close up, forcing her to stop breathing. 'No, no!' She thought desperately, trying to get control back. 'I can't die, not now!' But blackness had consumed her fully, and she couldn't find the strength to show any sign that she was alive other than her quickly fading heartbeat. But even that was barely able to be heard, making it seem as though she had completely given up.

Rally had tears streming down his eyes, his breath and heart quickening. He tried desperately for a long while, all to no avail. He gasped out,"Leah! Leah! No, you can't leave me, you can't! I love you, please, come back to me." He tried again, not going to give up as long as there was hope left. Her heartbeat was the onlything keeping him going, keeping him alive really. He set his mind on saving her, nothing else was an option. What, let her die? When he** freezes over, maybe then.

Angela felt a shiver run down her spine as she returned Peeta's passionate kiss, one of her hands moving to gently tangle in his hair to pull his face closer to her. She felt breathless again, her head full of the giddy, happy cloud that had filled it before, and she never wanted their kisses to end, never wanted to not feel his lips meshing against her's, she'd give the world if she could make this moment last forever with just her and him.

Lillian looked down at Claire in near panic at the news, but knew there wasn't anything she could do about it, "Will she be alright?" she asked worriedly.

She followed him to the door.

"Yes..." the doctor said before saying "It's important she stay in the bed and not try to get up. If you were to leave, I have a feeling she would try and risk hurting herself more."

Suddenly, Leah began to breathe again, then uttered a weak cough. "Ra-Rally?" She stuttered, her eyes fluttering open slowly. She tried to move and was nearly sitting up when she winced in a sharp pain in her side and fell back to the grass again, gasping for air. Her head spun and she couldn't see right, but she knew her sight would soon come back to her. She smiled weakly, trying the best she could to comfort him, then reached out a trembling hand.

Rally quickly pushed down her shoulders gently, trying to keep her from hurting herself any further. He looked into her eyes and brushed her wet hair from her face, a tear falling onto Leah's cheek. "Leah?" He asked, tears uneffecting his deep, clear voice. He had never felt more realived, never happier. Leah was alive, she was going to be okay. He leaned down and kissed her forehead, so glad that she was going to stay with him.

"Yes..." the doctor said before saying "It's important she stay in the bed and not try to get up. If you were to leave, I have a feeling she would try and risk hurting herself more."

"I-I'm ok." Leah stuttered weakly, blinking out against the harsh, glaring sunlight. Oh, how she thought she would never again see it, and be completely and forever consumed by the darkness that had nearly eaten her up. And, worse than that, was her fear that she would never see Rally's shining smile, or feel the way his kiss made be heart beat quicker and frantically, as if it was singing like a sparrow. Leah smiled, laying in the grass and breathing hard, trying to get her lungs to return to their original working status.

Rally placed his hand on the side of her face and looked into her beautiful eyes, so happy to see them open. He laughed breathlessly with reilfe, pushing his own hair out of his face. Leaning down, he murmered,"I love you Leah. Thank God your safe." With that, he kissed her nose, not wanting to distrupt her breathing.
