Cody shrugged, looking around before looking back over at Brook, "If you want we can go for a walk around the orphanage outside or something?" she'd be safe enough with him, he figured.

"Sure." She sighed. She was up to anything really.

Lillian looked around at the doctor as he entered, sighing quietly as she waited for him to speak.

"You must be the older sibling" the doctor said.

Cody nodded, moving toward the outside door before glancing back over at Brook to wait for her to follow.


"Yes," Lillian acknowledged with a sigh, looking over at the doctor{I'm going to make her 17 if that's alright, dee? ], slightly nervous about the adult since she planned to sneak out soon to try and find who had killed their parents.

The doctor sighed before he said "This will be hard news, but we have to replace both of your sister's kidneys and most likely a few other things. We haven't been able to do all the test and I have found something that will help both of you..."

Jessi bit her lip as she drank another swallow of the water, then closed it again and sat it down on the bed beside her, drawing in another breath, nodding her head at his words and moving to lean against his side, still drawing in deep breaths of air, "I..I thought I was dead this time," she whispered slowly, her voice clearer then before, not as raspy now that she had drank enough water, "I don't want to leave here alone again," she was close to tears as she moved her arms weakly to rest her hand on his arm, still slightly trembling. She had thought she was dead the second those hands had closed around her throat, closing off her air, and if the bully hadn't thought her dead when she passed out, she would of been.

Syth shook his head as he gently placed his arm around her, his hand resting on her waist, "No, Jessi," he whispered as he kissed the top of her head, "You couldn't die like that, I will do whatever it takes to make sure no one hurts you again. I'm going to be with you at all times, like a body guard," he murmured, kissing her temple gently, "I love you, Jessi, and I'm so sorry you got hurt like this," he whispered, wrapping his other arm around her. His touch was gentle and light, he was trying to not hurt her any more than she was already hurting, "You haven't cried at all. You can cry if you want to, it's just you and me, no one else is going to see," he whispered softly, gently hugging ehr to himself.

Jessi sighed softly, "I've cried so much over the last few days," she murmured quietly, moving her head to gently tuck it under Syth's chin, choosing to ignore her hair for now as she sighed again, "if I cry anymore I'm probably going to turn into a tear," her voice was wary and soft as she moved a hand to weakly rest it on Syth's side, she didn't comment about his being her bodyguard promise, mainly because she hoped that he would. While she felt guilty about asking and having Syth protect her and find her before she was killed so often, she couldn't help it, as long as she was in this orphanage, she was a seemingly popular target. "He..he thought I was dead before he left," she whispered quietly, not really sure why she was going on about it, but wanting to nonetheless, she blinked back tears before they could spill from her eyes, a shudder running through her.


Lillian came a small nod as she bit the inside of her cheek, processing the surgery in the back of her mind as she studied the doctor, "What did you find out?" she asked, her voice quiet.

The doctor pulled out some pictures and a few x-rays. They were of the back of Claire's head. "Their theory on this girl can be easily be proven wrong. This picture and x-ray show. Apparently she was hit in the back of the head hard with some kind of steel object. I looked and your parents where killed in their sleep with no pain. So they couldn't have fought back if your sister killed them."

Lillian nodded slowly, "I already know she couldn't have killed them," she sighed, "but at least that should prove to the police that she didn't," she bit her lip and looked down at Claire before looking back over at the doctor, "did you find out anything else?" she asked quietly, looking at the x-rays.

"She has a possibility of having some ruptured disk and maybe some brain trauma" the doctor said.
