Jessi opened her eyes when she heard Syth crack the water bottle cap, weakly turning her head to look at him as she listened to his words, trying to smile back at him when he kissed her forehead but unable to manage it. Instead of answering him, which she wasn't sure she could actually do at the moment, she weakly, and clumsily pushed herself up to a sitting position, still tired from having nearly had her life ended. Her hand reached out for the water bottle, closing around the bottle and bringing it over to her before opening it and tipping her head back slightly as she put the top to her lips, greedily but slowly drinking the precious liquid, then lowered it back, closing it clumsily as she squeezed her eyes shut against the pain of having swallowed the water. She sucked in a greedy breath of air when the pain passed before looking over at Syth, feeling a bit more revived from the water. "I..I don't think I ever want to leave this room alone ever again," she whispered raspily, clutching the blanket as she squeezed her eyes shut again before looking at Syth. Her hands trembled as they worked to open the water bottle once more.
"I'll..try for as long as I can," Lillian told Claire quietly, looking down at the girl, "but I'll have to leave sooner or later," she knew it would be best not to lie to the girl.
