The Provost's Dogs (Based on the Beka Cooper trilogy) WIP

Being a Provost's Guard is tough work, but you've trained hard for your job. Perhaps you're still a Puppy, assigned to a working pair, or maybe you're a fully-fledged Dog, with marks on your leather, bronze, or silver insignias indicating how long you've served. But whatever part you play for the Dogs, somehow you got saddled with- or chose- work at the Jane Street Kennel in Corus, doing your duty in the lower city. Even worse, you ended up on the toughest watch of them all- Evening watch, from five at night until one in the morning.

This is placed about twenty years after Beka Cooper retired. Recently, Rosto was challenged and defeated by a new rogue, a dark horse who has not done much yet. Still, life goes on in the Lower City and Cesspool as ever- maybe up in Unicorn District the fountains run rose water, but here they run piddle.

Will you help keep the tenuous peace, as a bad harvest raises prices, a new and mysterious rogue takes over, and all sorts of other dark dealings occur? Or will you be in on the dark secret that the Dogs must try to uncover?

Rules for the Roleplay:
Be kind and courteous to other players ooc. Respond to their posts appropriately, and try not to ignore any posts.
I will settle any arguments.
In your forms, I expect you to include the following: name, age, rank (including # years served, unless they are a Puppy), gender, some general background (no noble patrons, please), and a description of both their physical traits and their personalities. I expect detail in the personalities and I will not accept forms that merely list traits- describe them in a specific way.
You may request partners that have not already been taken. Try not to be your own partner or training dog/puppy- I will assign pairs if necessary/desired.
Lease try to avoid having characters directly related to the canon- I generally dislike this kind of character as too often it is simply a poor excuse to have crazy powers.
You may play a Mage, but mages in the Kennels are usually just Hedgewitches, at most as good as Farmer Cape. Specify what your Mage is good at and limit their power.
Somewhere on your form I want to see the words 'Puppy Cooper', so I know you have read these.
Scent hounds are permitted, but there will only be 3-4 handlers total, or else it gets to be too much.

Rules for Dogs:
Training Dogs are expected to supply their puppies with small armor items such as a gorget (neck armor). Your Puppy's safety is your responsibility.
All Puppies, first-year Dogs, and Second-year Dogs will report one hour early for baton training.
Be punctual to all musters, training, and court days. Evening Watch court day is Monday, and their day off is Tuesday.
Always respond to another Dog signaling for help.
Do not hit as Rat unless their is aught to be gained from it.
