"I'm in Ravenclaw. And I'm not really sure if I would try out, I'm not all that good at flying." Cassandra told him. Istral has slithered his way up her arm and was now gently coiled around her neck as she spoke. Apparently the little orange serpent was cold and found that particular area to be warmer. "What about you? What's your house and are you trying out?" she then asked.

With another few beans in his mouth, he asked, "So what about you? What are you into?" He ran one hand through his hair as he asked the question, watching as another cluster of first years came bustling into the great hall exitedly.

"Well, oddities I guess, at least that's how I've heard it put." Cassandra said with a bit of a smile. She looked at the entering first years for a moment as she head little bits of their excited conversations.

Teddy nodded, knowingly, "definitely a Ravenclaw then." He chuckled, lifting Alfie back into his backpack to snooze.
"So shall I let you get back to your book? Or- if you have time, you could come with me on a walk?" He planned to head through the grounds and past the herbology classrooms to borrow a textbook- He had already managed to set his on fire. A successful attemt at practicing a new charm his class had learned- though not such a successful aim, as he had been trying to hit a crumpled up wad of paper.

Gilbert nodded, an understanding smile breaking across his face. "I have 'advanced' classes this year. It's basically one on one with the Professors, and a lot harder. They're hoping I will be at third or fourth year level by the end of the year. . ." he trailed off not wanting to say more, as he was still nervous about the accident that had caused him to be where he was. "But on another note, I received a letter from my father's brother. Seems like that part of the family has forgiven me for being a Ravenclaw."

(I thought it would be funny/interesting I'd Gil's British side was Malfoy, while his mom was half Veela. He takes after his Mom's side more though. . .)

Alek whistled, raising an eyebrow. "That's quite the story, what jinx were you trying to use?" He ran a hand through his dark hair, trying to restrain the unruly curls. "I'm surprised they didn't take off points, I tried a stunt like that in my…" He paused, trying to remember, "I think it was third year? Anyways, they took 20 points away, and the entire Hufflepuff house wouldn't speak to me for a week."

"Furnunculus. Yeah, I know i could have done better but the teacher had such a ugly look on his face that i wanted to make it worse!" Smirks, poking him in the side "Well with my charm, i can get anyone to do just about anything. Meaning i can get out of detention by just knowing a few people"
