He shook his head. "It was a misunderstanding..." he said and sighed. "I was being stupid. As I said earlier, I want to keep you safe. So if you like him more than me, that's fine. Either way, you won't lose me."

"I d-dont..." Kaysu replied without meaning to do so, "I-I-I mean... I-i don't k-know wh-who I r-rather more..." he stammered quickly, lying in order to explain the two words he had said before.

"It's okay not to know right now." he said and stepped back. "If you want me to give you space to make that decision, I will do that and we can hang out as friends."

Kaysu took a breath in and sighed, closing his eyes, "I-I... don't k-know..." he replied, "I j-just don't want y-you upset because i-im with him..."

"If that's what you want, I won't be upset." he lied, not wanting him to worry.

"You seem less forceful... more calm and all... but then he..." Kaysu stopped, "I-I don't know.." he replied, lying, as he sat down, staring at the ground.
