Shae sat alone at the Hades table, having sacrificed a nutella sandwich to her father. -Because of the god of the underworld needs some chocolate- She picked at her food, then pushed it away, earning a disapproving glare from a passing harpy. Shaelyn slowly got up, and pushed her chair in, swiping a muffin in the progress. Gods forbid the harpy saw. Shae quickly walked away from the dining area, nibbling half-heartedly at her choco chip muffin. "Nnn..." She groaned, yearning for Sapphire. Shae was lonely enough as it was. On cue, a tabby cat melted out of the shadows, leaping to paw at Shae's knee. The pale girl showed the slightest hint of a smile, and picked up Sappire. "You gem-eating idiot, have you been shadow-traveling?" Shae scratched between Sapphire's ears and the tired cat purred softly. "You know you can't do that without my permission.." Shae sat on the grass with Sapphire, feeding her cat the rest of her muffin. "Silly feline..."

Layla staggered through the woods back to her cabin, soaking wet. Shae had been kind enough to help but Layla knew Shae probably didn't like her, a lot of Hades kids were a little off putting. Layla didn't understand that, She stared at the ceiling thinking of everyone. They had their own problems and wouldn't be there to help her all the time, she felt lost. Layla didn't care what people said to her all the time but everyone seemed so brave, Layla didn't even have a weapon. The thought of her using a weapon was scary enough, she'd probably be the first demigod in the world to trip and kill herself. That would suck, Layla crossed her arms and fell backwards on her bed, why couldn't everything be easy? Dylan was calm and cool, Shae was secretly kind - hearted, Crys was a good friend. Why couldn't Layla be anything? She was the person that everyone must have looked down on. Maybe the girls only helped because they KNEW Layla couldn't defend herself. Layla crumpled up on the bed and started to cry, alone in the cabin. It had to be dinner time, no one was there. Everyone here talked about the other campers, it seemed like just mean gossip to Layla so she steered away from the conversations.
"If i can't be strong, I'll learn." Layla said as she stared at the painting she pined on the wall, the one Eden and Crys saved. Eden was nice enough to try anyway. Shae looked like a strong fighter who didn't focus on her power as her main weapon, so Layla packed her satchel with some necessary items, and set off to find Shae. She walked into the dining hall and asked if anyone knew where she would be.

"I think it's dinnertime, I'm going to head up," Dylan announced, after getting annoyed by the silence. Crys was quiet, and not the greatest company at the moment. To each their own, she supposed. Brushing the sand off her clothes, she didn't bother waiting for the other girl and trudged up to the great hall. Seating herself at the edge of the Aphrodite table after burning an offering to her mom, she found herself enveloped in the energy and general craziness of her siblings. After eating her fill, she began to pick food off the boy next to her, who gave her a friendly shove that nearly knocked her off the bench. Laughing, she grabbed another bite off his plate.

Layla kept asking but no body knew, was Shae this secretive? Layla wandered through the tables unknowingly that each group sat in a certain table. She looked around and saw Dylan,
"Hey Dylan!" Layla smiled as she sat beside her. The other Aphrodite kids stared at her, Layla immediately felt uncomfortable. Layla knew it was best to not let them get under her skin, she had heard that the Aphrodite kids could curse your make up and hair, or something like that but Layla didn't worry about how she looked. She only cared about how other people looked at HER, and everyone was looking at her in an eerie silence. Before Dylan could say anything Layla blurted out
"I'm looking for Shae, you know where she is?" and Layla blushed uncomfortablely hoping that Dylan knew so that Layla could leave, there was about 150 pairs of eyes staring at her and it made Layla feel like it was a group of judgement, everyone could easily bring her down, another reason why Layla needed Shae.
