Personality: Sorcha is an intelligent girl, a good problem solver. She is artistic and creative, loving magic and art. Sorcha is a bit shy, taking a little bit to warm up to people. She is the quieter type part of the time, taking the time to observe and plan before taking action. She can be talkative, if she finds that something is worth talking about, and is not afraid to take action when she needs to.
History: Sorcha was born to a pair of esteemed wizards, John and Lillian Briona. John was muggle-born, while Lillian was also born to a pair of wizards. Sorcha had a joyful, but short, magic-filled childhood with her parents. Her father took her for careful rides around the yard on his broomstick at night, and her mother would entertain her with colorful sparks and other such spells.
This picturesque life was cut short when Sorcha was four years old. She and her parents had been traveling to visit John's muggle family when they got into a car crash. There are rumors that this was not an ordinary car crash, but it was a disaster either way. Sorcha's mother died, and her father was injured badly. He died just days after the crash. Sorcha was left relatively unharmed (except for a small scar above her right eyebrow), but orphaned. Lillian's family had disappeared long before Sorcha was born, and John's family didn't have space for another young child. So, she ended up in an orphanage.
Life at the orphanage was just as awful as the movies make it out to be. In fact, while most children dread the start of school, school was Sorcha's favorite time of the day. There she made friends, a couple of whom came from wizard families. At first these wizarding secrets were hidden from Sorcha, but once the families discovered that her parents had been wizards they opened up to her about magic. These families were closer to her homes than the orphanage would ever be.
But there were other young wizards who were not friends of Sorcha's. They teased her, and called her a Harry Potter wannabe, due to her scar and background. "Hey look, it's miss Harry Potter copycat." "Here comes the Harry Potter wannabe." "You'll never be as great as the REAL Harry Potter."
Time went by, and soon Sorcha's friends and enemies were receiving letters from Hogwarts. Anxiously, she awaited the day when she would get her letter, but it never came. Her friends went off to the wizard academy, while she continued in muggle school. This was a great disappointment for her. What would her parents have thought? Their little girl, not being invited to Hogwarts....
It wasn't until her 15th birthday that Sorcha discovered something was up. Her closest wizard friend threw her a birthday party, and Sorcha was delighted. There were balloons, streamers, and a lovely cake. Sorcha and her friends had a great time, and soon it was time for cake. Sorcha took a deep breath, blew out the candles, and suddenly felt a searing pain in her scar. She closed her eyes for about a minute, hand clasped over her forehead. When the pain stopped and she opened her eyes, she saw everyone staring at her. The friend grabbed Sorcha's hand and dragged her to the bathroom, where she stared at her reflection in the mirror. She was 11 years old again! What had happened? Of course, the poor girl was quite shaken.
As it turned out, when Sorcha was young some unknown dark wizard had cursed her so that every time she turned 15, she would become 11 years old again. That way, she would never grow up into a wizard and never graduate Hogwarts. She also would, without being killed, live as a child forever.
But it seemed that the Hogwarts headmaster had already thought about this. An owl landed on the bathroom windowsill, carrying a Hogwarts letter addressed to Sorcha. It seemed she would get to go to Hogwarts after all, and she had the added experience of muggle school as well.
Pet Details:

Species:Screech Owl (red morph)
Name: Ciúnas, an Irish word meaning silence. This name is rather ironic, considering the type of owl.
Other: Ciúnas is a smaller owl, and thus he gets to sneak out for flights and games more often than a larger owl might. He also sometimes is used for sneaky work, when his owner needs to gather a bit of information. He struggles when carrying large packages, but excels in carrying smaller mail and secret notes.
