HUNTED - The Secrets Lie Within

As Mike was kicked, Vincent was snickering in the background. He still held the green ball in the cloth, it's glow now a bit brighter that he hadn't been shaking it.

Jeremy noticed Vincent was laughing at his friends pain, and it sort of irked him. "V-Vincent! I-it's not funny!" he said, but he didn't sound entirely sure of what he was saying.

Wrapping an arm around Jeremy's shoulder, Vincent laughs again. "But it was. Now don't you think so?" He says, putting the ball in Jeremy's hands.

Jeremy looked down at the ball, confused as to what it was. Then he looked back up at Vincent. "N-no it wasn't. Only you would think that." he muttered.

Vincent looks at Jeremy with a forced smile. He tightens his grip, a hiss in his voice. "Don't be rude. You know he deserved it. He punched me, remember?" He says. The ball kept a steady glow. Not doing much. It's a ball.

"T-two wrongs don't make a right." Jeremy whispered, looking away. Vincent was starting to scare him, but really that was nothing new. "Please let go o-of me..."

"Of course it does. That's just math." Vincent says, taking the ball for a moment before looking at it, then giving it back to Jeremy. "It feels warmer than when I picked it up."

"What is it?" Jeremy asked, looking down at the ball. He remembered it slightly. He was pretty sure that he had seen Vincent carrying it way before he gave it to him.

"No idea." Vincent says, looking down at it. "I was in the alien girls room, she came in. I hid behind the dresser and soon enough, she was gone and this was where she was." He says. Calurusi had simply turned herself to a ball so she could heal herself. Vincent didn't seem to notice the child peeking out from the kitchen.

Jeremy stared at it, a bit captivated by the ball. He held it carefully, unsure of what to do with it. He didn't want to keep it, but if this somehow related to the alien girl's sudden disappearance, as Vincent had described, he didn't want to give it back to him. Who knows what he would do with it?
