Kaito Makamoto - Firebender

Kaito shifted awkwardly, staring at the ground and chewing at his lip. He suddenly had the most peculiar desire to disappear, perhaps just sink into the ground. Yeah, that'd be nice right about then. Avoiding locking eyes with anyone, he frantically scrabbled about in his mind for something to say or do to get himself out of the current situation.

Daichi Makamoto - Waterbender

Daichi snorted, watching his brother's frantic expression. He was obviously panicking, the wimp. Turning his cold gaze back to Maluna, he replied, "We were once brothers, but none of that particularly matters now. You were saying something about the avatar?" He was well aware of the way Kaito flinched, a pained expression on his face, but the younger boy was quick to hide it. At least he knew how to do something right.

Maluna;

I looked back and forth between the two. "Okay... Well, I ran away from my house, then the guys started chasing after me and kept yelling to get the avatar, yadda yadda. Was there someone else behind me?" I asked, dismissing the awkward tension in the air. I still looked between the two, confused as to why they would treat each other like this.

-Sapphire Bloom- Well, this is a bit awkward, isn't it? I thought to myself as I continued to sit still, making sure not to make any noise. I was currently feeling held captive as I unintentionally listened in on someones conversation, and I really didn't mean to but... You see, I had been bending just a bit before I got myself into the predicament when I decided to take a seat on the shore right on the edge of the lake, using a large bush for a bit of shade. Then another water bender got in the lake and I was going to get up and go, leave him some privacy you know? But then some other people came along, talking about the avatar and whatnot... and well I got a bit carried away and just kept sitting there listening. From the sounds of it, the avatar was near by. I searched my mind for a plan, what could I do to get myself out of this? I thought maybe I could just leave and hope I never saw the people again, but I didn't want to just go when they knew something about the avatar.

I sighed quietly, and because I could think of no better plan then the one I was about to use, I stood up and faked a yawn, pretty convincingly if you asked me. My brows drew together in confusion as I looked from person to person, like I had no clue the people were there in the first place. "Sorry, I was just taking a nap here behind this bush..." So maybe it wasn't one of my better tall tales, but it was better then saying I had been eavesdropping on them, whether they believed I was napping or not. Realizing I couldn't just leave now without asking about the avatar, I mentioned it. "Did you say something about the avatar?" I felt out of place, but I had to give it a try.

Hearing some rustling in a nearby bush, Kaito yelped, jumping away a few feet and staring in terror at the person who rose before relaxing again. Just a person. Nothing scary. He placed a hand over his rapidly beating heart, sighing heavily. That had scared him senseless a moment. How hadn't he noticed her before? Wait- how long was she there?! She couldn't have slipped in while they were talking, as he surely would have noticed that. Well, she did say that she was taking a nap, but that seemed a bit unlikely. Then again, he'd slept on the ground before, so perhaps not. He wasn't really all too sure.

Daichi Makamoto - Waterbender

Daichi watched as the girl who'd been lying behind the bush eavesdropping finally made her presence known. About time. He was wondering when she'd stand up. He sighed. This little party was getting too big for his liking. Well, it was too big the moment it became more then just him, but that was besides the point. Crossing his arms over his chest, he said, "Well, to answer your question - Luna was it? - There is in fact someone behind you, as you can plainly see. Was she behind you when you were running over here spouting flames? No, not quite. And yes, the avatar was briefly mentioned, as you should know considering you've been eavesdropping on us this entire time, miss."

Aria Kizumi- Waterbender

Aria sighed. "I'm sure she didn't mean to overhear anything. she was just relaxing by the bushes and overheard." She said, looking over at Daichi.

Maluna;

I looked around confusingly. "Well, I'm thoroughly confused now. So, they were referring to me as the avatar? Well, why would they not tell me?" I asked, upset. What? I didn't want to be the avatar! I mean, all of the responsibilities! They have to keep the whole world in line! They have to make sure what happened when Avatar Aang went missing doesn't happen again!

Kaito flinched when a second girl passing by spoke up. Daichi wasn't a nice person, and although he wasn't nessecarily afraid of his brother hurting her feelings, he more so didn't want to see any more of his cold glare than he had to. Then hearing Maluna's exclamation, he frowned. "Well, maybe they just haven't told you that you're the avatar yet or something? Or perhaps you look a lot like her and they mistook you two? There are some doppelgängers in the world."

Daichi shook his head, shooting the new arrival a cold glare before turning his attention back to Maluna. "No, I brlive those men were possibly correct. They seemed fairly intent on catching up to you right until the point you started shooting fire at them. Now, if I'm correct and I do believe I am, the new avatar should in fact be a Firebender, as you so obviously are. I'm not saying for sure that you're the avatar, but if you are then you're going to be in a heap of trouble when they finally catch up to you. Judging by your stature, that shouldn't take too long."

-Sapphire Bloom- "Sorry if I startled you." I said, noticing the other boy jumped back a bit when I stood up. I wasn't sure what to say at first when one of the boys spoke up, and although it didn't show, I was kind of nervous. I didn't realize any of them had noticed me, but I was relived when someone else spoke up in my defense. I nodded at her in agreement, and she was basically right, I really didn't mean to overhear anything. But it seemed like the other boy knew I was there, and there would be no point in trying to convince him otherwise. I was kind of relieved when another girl spoke up, mainly because I didn't like the previous topic much... "They think your the avatar?" I said, she looked pretty confused about it all and I kind of doubted it, wouldn't the avatar know they're, well, the avatar? Then again, Aang didn't know he was the avatar and look where that got him for about 100 years. And the new avatar should be fire bender, as she apparently was. All of this seemed so odd, yet a bit exciting at the same time. What if she was really the avatar?

"Well if she is the Avatar I'd like to help her stay away from trouble." Aria said. It takes more then a few glares to scare her.

Daichi turned his glare back to the other girl, eyeing her cpwith distaste. He could already tell he wouldn't like her very much. "Well aren't you just a sweetheart?" he drawled sarcastically, eyes narrowed. These people were really starting to get on his nerves.

Kaito Makamoto - Firebender

Kaito nodded to the girl from the bushes, accepting her apology, then listened as everyone else spoke. He frowned wehn Daichi started to glare at one of the girls. He thought she'd been acting very politely, and she'd seemed to be helping the other two girls out. He could never understand the way his brother seemed to view others.
