I jumped considerably when someone bumped into me. "S-sorry!" I squeaked out fearfully. I wasn't used to people coming near me. Everybody disliked me. I was too shy and quiet. Except that guy Patrick. He was mean but we got along well enough. He never asked me to talk louder or stop whimpering. He wasn't a bad guy.
