Marcei's eyes widened with shock and fright at the sight of a rather creepy-looking troll floating in front of them. He was tall, with a thick mass of hair, and wore a skeletal outfit. He instantly made her nervous, and caused her to stand and back away slightly. h0w d;d he get ;n here w;th0ut mak;ng n0;se? she wondered with a shudder. Seeing Karkat's calm--though dismayed--reaction caused her to relax a bit. And then Kurloz's statement, the fact that he was lonely, made her instantly melt. "y0u w-were l0nely?" She stuttered shyly at first. "that's terr;ble..." she then took a couple steps forward and attempted to peer up at his face, despite his odd appearance and mysteriousness. Again, Marcei's motherly side took to the surface and she instinctively offered Kurloz a comforting smile.
(Parentheses) = Through Equius' perspective
As Equius carried Canina, she had a dream. A dream about riding a magical hoofbeast that was carrying her home in a confident stride. She held onto the hoofbeast's mane (Equius' shirt) tightly to keep balance as they approached her home. Grinning toothily (smiling softly) she allowed her hair to whip wildly behind her and the hoofbeast to the lead the way.
