personality; Sebastian is often described as the male Santana. While this has some truths there are a lot of differences. Sebastian will take longer to realize he has done wrong because he is very prideful. Sebastian is snarky, not so much witty. The difference is snark is seen as something that is more rude than wit.
Sebastian has a soft side. We see it when he admits he had done wrong. We also see it when he comes in second place. It shows a something of a deeper story there, because in the next time we see him that soft side is gone, and he covers it up.
He feels like he has something to prove. Sebastian likes to win, he will do what it takes. We don’t know why this is, but we can assume it deals with his family. Sebastian is happiest when he performs, and we know that when he didn’t win he looks crushed. He looks like he failed at the one thing he knew without one shadow of a doubt that he was good at. He failed at being captain and the next year he isn’t captain. Something happened there, and we aren’t quite sure what it is, but it was definitely a time where Sebastian’s character went through a rough patch, be it at home or school.
He speaks what is on his mind. He has a harsh sense of truth, and no filter. He says what he’s thinking and assumes he is right. He wants people to agree with him. He feeds off the praise of others, and the fact that people like him.
Sebastian wants to be liked. Sebastian has rounded up the Warblers, and after what he does to Blaine (be it on accident or purpose), he knows he messed up. He isn’t as liked, think about taking that and multiplying it by quite a bit when he loses regionals. All that weight of loosing is on him because he was captain. The Warblers are disappointed in him, and depending on how his familial ties are, they could be disappointed in him too.
Sebastian is a spoiled brat. I just said that, yes. Lets take a look at him, all his behaviors and actions are that of a spoiled brat. He acts out to get recognized. He expects the best and only the best. He wants attention.

personality;Ruby is a geek girl. Pure and simple. She likes what she likes, and doesn't care if she's an outcast for it. She can often be found quietly singing along to fandom related songs on her ipod. She usually sorts her music by fandom with occasional playlists for characters she really likes. She usually carries a notebook full of half written fanfics, and usually speaks in references. Just don't insult Joss Whedon or you're in for a serious debate. She's usually quiet, because she doesn't want to say something dumb or start rambling. She really sweet most of the time though. Her worst subject is english and her best is physics. Mostly she just wants to have a few friends that she can geek out with, and isn't too concerned about what she wants to do in the future.
History; Ruby almost died when she was 3, she had cancer, and was very lucky to be able to beat it. she's afraid that it might come back some day. Ruby was taught to fix computers and basic coding by her older brother by the age of 7. she just seems to have a knack with them. Ruby is still a kind of awkward new girl, and she's not the best at making friends, she moved because her parents died like a month ago, and so now she lives with her aunt. She grew up in the shadow of two brilliant older siblings - one of whom is currently working for weta - her older brother, her sister has a PHD already, and is only a couple years older than Ruby.

Ruby scribbled down a few notes in the margin of her notebook, earbud in her left ear, half humming along to a song she was listening to. Wishing she didn't have to be there. She'd had enough of the mind games for one day. She was low on the high school social standings. Socially awkward, tech obsessed, former homeschool kid from a place which is often left off maps in TV shows and movies. Going back to school was never going to be an easy task for her, but her ipod was helping with that. Though mostly she just wanted to be writing harry potter and firefly fan songs from the comfort of her bedroom, not have to deal with mind games, a month and she was already tired of being the geeky new girl.

Glee club helped a little, but even then she still didn't feel like she fit in there. But had hardly spoken after she joined, prefering to keep one earbud in and write in her notebook. She can sing, she'd rather manage things behind the scenes anyway. that was more her speed. She gets to listen to music and hang out with cool tech, it's kind of a win win for her.

»»» The Warbler sat in a coffee place, having arrived at the beginning of lunchtime. Most of the other kids from Dalton had already left to head back to school. But with more time on his hands he figured he would just stay and relax a bit. Maybe even see someone familiar. His eyes wondered around the room in search for a familiar face... more specifically someone frim McKinly, and even more specifically Blaine. But it didn't seem like he would be arriving today. Sebastian let out a small sigh of boredom as he finished his drink and stood up, preparing to leave.

Ruby was seriously tempted just to ditch her classes for the rest of the day. She closed the notebook she had been writing in. Knowing she should be heading back to school. She's so caught up in her own thoughts that she walked into someone. "Sorry" she says quickly, her gaze barely flickering up from the ground.

»»» He looked over when somebody bumped into him, his empty coffee cup almost slipping from his hands. He put it down and picked up his bag, looking at the girl who had bumped into him. He narrowed his eyes slightly as he thought. She obviously wasn't a Dalton student, and there weren't really any other school nearby, so he guessed she was a McKinley student. He took in a deep breath and straightened up a bit while giving her a slight snarky look, "Let me guess, you're a McKinley student," he said.
