Shelby watched her paws as she walked alongside Lance.She lifted her head slightly,catching a glimpse of the boy she called family.She shook her fur,thinking.I'm glad he doesn't know she told herself over and over.But,something kept nagging at her,would Lance be better off knowing?

Lance continued walking at her side, keeping a wary eye on their surroundings, though Shelby would easily know of anyone else nearby long before himself. He glanced down at his dog with a light smile, thankful that he had her at his side with strange people like James around.

Rage shook her head looking down at her feet. Her head snapped up as she heard people start where she was.With a start movement she pulled from the light into the shadows

Shelby whined softly,her eyes fixed on Lance.She shook her fur,she would have to be more careful from now on.She blinked her brown eyes slowly,looking down at her paws again.

David nodded his head trailing behind Cassie.He flicked hsi tail wrapping it around his arm."Wht do you think it is?"He asked quietly.

Lance glanced down at Shelby for a moment. She seemed to be acting a little weird. Whining more often. He didn't mind the shaking of her fur though. "What do you need, Girl?" he asked her curiously, leaning down to stroke her head and rub her ears. He guessed that the whining was because of something she wanted.

Shelby snuggled her head against Lance's arm.She barked softly,starting to finally calm down after their run in with James.She wagged her tail,biting at Lance's hair.
