James blinked his golden eyes at her."You know,now that's it's colder,I think i'll be stayinga little longer then I planned."He said quietly,closing his eyes witha satisfied snort.

[Jump.Jump.Fall.]

"And why is that?" Trixi asked softly, gazing directly into James' eyes. "Hoping to get some free warmth?" she asked and then drew her head back from James' stomach. Trixi frowned and then let out a slight sigh under her breath, but she wasn't disappointed that James was going to stay longer than she had expected, she was just slightly annoyed that James was staying for her warmth. She yawned slightly and then laid her head against James' chest, her eyes flickering shut. "My warmth's not free... It'll cost you a fawn a day..." Trixi said teasingly, grinning slightly.

James grunted softly."Well,my warmth costs..two plump rabbits everyday."He laughed,biting at Trixi's ear playfully."That or six deer."He looked upa t the sky."Actulkly make that four plump rabbits and two mice,rabbits for my warmth,and the mice for my company."

[Jump.Jump.Fall.]

Trixi rolled her eyes and then playfully bit James' hackles, rising up to her paws. "Whatever," she said and then sat down on James' back, draping her paws over the boy's muzzle. "You already had some of the deer I caught... So, what do I owe you now?" Trixi asked in a soft voice, laying her head on top of James' and her tail began to flicker in a playful wag. She frowned after a moment and then slowly crawled off of James, laying down beside him and laying her head beside his shoulder once again. Trixi shivered once again and then gently nudged James' shoulder, pushing her muzzle under James' warm and furry body.

James slightly pulled hius lip back from his teeth.When he realized what she was doing,he grunted softly,looking at her like she was crazy."May I ask why you're trying to crawl underneath me?"

[Jump.Jump.Fall.]

"You're warm," Trixi stated flatly, pulling her head out from under James and she shot him a fierce glare. She frowned and then curled up into a ball, turning her head away from James and placing her busy tail over her muzzle.

James chuckled softly,curling into a tight ball."I'm glad you think so."He said,yawning loudly."Go hunt for me."He pleaded."I'm to tired."He muttered,blinking his radiant yellow eyes at her.

[Jump.Jump.Fall.]

Trixi frowned and then gazed deep into James' eyes, her ears flickering backward and pressing against her head. "Fine, lazybones..." she said with an irritated growl, pushing herself up off the ground and biting James' left ear as she rose. "But, don't expect anything larger than a rabbit..." Trixi said and grinned slightly and then padded away from the clearing, her black fur rustling as a cold wind swept past her. She looked back over her and gazed directly at James, grinning weakly before turning back and padding deeper into the forest.

A half hour passed before Trixi padded back into the clearing, two plump rabbits clenched between her jaws. Her lips pulled back into a grin and then she trotted over to James, her tail wagging in a triumphant manor. Trixi dropped the rabbits in front of James, sitting down and watching James with a smug grin upon her face.

James lifted hsi head,yawning."I'm impresse.He said smiling,as he sat up,his bushy tail wagging.He leaned down,ripping a large chuck out of the rabbit's side.He ate the whole rabbit in a few ravinous bites.

[Jump.Jump.Fall.]

Trixi watched James devour the rabbit, her mouth beginning to water as she eyed the succulent meat of the second rabbit. She sighed under her breath and then laid down in front of James, resting her head on her paws and gazing at James with wide eyes. "Good to know," Trixi said with a slight growl, curling up into a ball and licking her rear left paw, which was bleeding fiercely. "I had to run through a thorn patch to get that last rabbit..." she whimpered, looking over at her front paws, which were also bleeding and the right one had a large thorn prodding out of her flesh.
