THE TIME GAMES (Not accepting!)

Sasha looked at him. "Yeah!" She thought for a moment. "Say, you can do lots of things with that sonic screwdriver you have. Could you use it to try and trace the source?"

[higurashi]

The Doctor shrugged. "Probably. Though I would need a little extra energy, and since the TARDIS isn't working, I'm not sure what to do."

[Duskshine]

"Here. Can you get enough energy from this?" Jack asked, unstrapping his vortex manipulator and holding it out for the Doctor to take or examine at his leisure.

[higurashi]

The Doctor looked at it for a second. "Most likely." He pressed the tip of his screwdriver to it and turned it on, the green of it turning slightly blue for a moment before it vibrated and stopped glowing.

[Duskshine]

"Any luck?" Jack asked hopefully. "I actually don't mind if you destroy it this time. It's useless right now anyway."

[higurashi]

The Doctor twitched the casing on the sonic a little, and his face lit up. "Yes! It worked! Hah!" He jumped up and down excitedly.

Tristin, noticing the Doctor's excited outburst, stood up, gently tugging Delilah with him. "What's happening?"

[Duskshine]

Jack grinned, but didn't get up. "Sasha and I will stay here and guard the camp. She needs to rest." He said pointedly.

I stood, following close to Tristin. I made sure to look terrified as usual- the Doctor fellow was making loud noises and not explaining himself. It could very well be an attack. I vaguely wondered when I would get to see my Mistress again, when I would be allowed to drop this ridiculous pretense.

"Come on, I really wanted to go too!" she sighed.

(Sorry I haven't been active, I have a LOT of homework and I'm super busy and stressed.)

[Duskshine]

Jack elbowed her gently. "You shouldn't have hurt yourself then." he replied. "I'm staying to keep you company. And also out of trouble." He looked up at Tristin and Delilah. "Are you two gonna go? Someone's gotta keep that one out of trouble." He said, jerking his thumb at the Doctor.

I clasped Tristin's wrist nervously. "I'll go if you do." I murmured in Tristin's ear, looking at him steadily but still holding his wrist to seem nervous. Hopefully it would look like I was trying to be braver, braver than the previous day when I'd crashed into camp as a terrified wreck.

[higurashi]

Tristin smiled, both at Jack's joke and Delilah in general. "Yeah, we'll go." He said with finality.

The Doctor nodded slowly, looking from Tristin to Jack. "Are you and Sasha going to be alright?" He questioned worriedly. "I mean, I know you can't die and everything, but someone, or something, might take you out and then attack her."
