"Breath in deeply," the doctor instructed. "Exhale from your nose. Try not to hyperventilate," he said, getting up to sort through one of the cabinets. He pulled out a small inhaler and but it to Riya's mouth, pressing down on it's top and realising the steroid inside into Riya's airways.

{Nothing much, Darcy was just talking with Nil about the "strange doctor" and about the kids in the forest. They're still in the same room.}

Riya shook her head and pulled away from the inhaler, by now her face was going dark red from oxygen starvation. She collasped onto the bed, her breathing was raspy and irregular as she fought for oxygen. That inhaler hadn't helped at all, it couldn't. Riya's airways weren't constricted but her lungs had virtually dried out. In order to breath she needed to keep them damp.

[Iilyda]

{Lol, okay.}

"I need water," Dr. Schneider called out to the nurses in the room, and he was quickly brought over a paper cup of water from one of the sinks. Dr. Schneider put a hand behind Riya's hand, tilting the water back into her mouth.

Riya quickly gulped the water down, then she jerked her head, trying to soak her gills in the water.

[Iilyda]

Dr. Schneider spilt the water on Riya's neck before he could stop himself, noticing as the water lapped up into her gills with fascination.

[Crabbiey]

Riya's breathing improved but she needed more water. Her face was no longer the dark red.

[Iilyda]

"I need more water!" Dr. Schneider called out, and the nurse scurried off to refill the cup again, fetching another cup while he was at it. Dr. Schneider poured the water into Riya's mouth and dropped some onto the gills he had only just discovered. "You must stop struggling," he said to her. "Let me help you."

[Crabbiey]

Riya's was no longer starved of oxygen. She looked at the doctor before trying to shift away from him. Her brain was telling her that he was only helping her to trick her and then he would use her later.
