Sharnie knelt down next to Nil and felt her pulse. It was slower than normal but at least it was steady. She sat next to Nil, to protect her from any harm.

Although Nil's brain was shutting down, her body still seemed able to move. Her hands balled up into fists as she tried to keep the nightmares away.
