He quickly reacted to the shadows being launched at him. He twisted from side to side to dodge them, but one hooked onto his right side shoulder. He hissed slightly and looked at her, "Hero's aren't as great as you think. Sometimes they're no better than people like me," Johnny replied, his shoulder stinging, but he wasn't able to see the wound, or his right shoulder at all.

She scoffed at that, shaking her was and not believing him one bit. "Yeah, and I'm the queen of England. Who needs villains when we've got heroes like you?!" she asked him, retracting the shadows and holding them about her. "Villains will have to answer to me, Senshi!"

He shook his head with a frown, watching the shadows carefully. The shadows definitely weren't something to mess around with. "You know, I'm not exactly a hero much anymore. That's getting boring, many people on the good side that will throw you under a bus for no reason. Being bad is much more.. effective," Johnny replied with a small smile, quickly throwing another stolen batarang straight at her with his left hand, not wanting to miss.

Aori's eyes widened slightly at his statement. "Gotham's worse off than ever and you know it. Sure, we've got Batman, but what's going to happen when he takes a vacation? Or a sick day? That's when the rest of us have to pick up the slack." Somewhere in the back of her mind, Aori was slowly beginning to realize how cheesy she was sounding. Groaning at her own choice of words, she shook he head. "Memo to me, memo to me... That was weird."

When the Falcon threw the batarang, her eyes widened in surprise and the shadows moved quickly to absorb the metal, but not before it nicked her shoulder. "Ehh... Ouch." she complained softly, holding her should with had already been cut up by glass. "Can we finish this later? I've got something to do tomorrow, and I'd hate to make a bad impression."

He laughed at her comment about Batman, "Oh, man. Trust me when I say this, the Batman will never die. There will always be a Batman," he replied with a small sigh. He watched her try and absorb the metal with the shadows, thinking it was going to work for a second. But in the end he was sure that the batarang had hit her. At the questioned he frowned, not sure if she was being serious or not. She was probably the first person he ever talked to while he was the Falcon who didn't want to immediately push him off a building or shoot him down. "I would say yes, but if I leave you probably won't ever see me again. Not unless if I wanted to see you. And quite frankly you're just a obnoxious hero, so why would I want to see you again?"

If she hadn't been wearing her mask over the bottom half of her face, you would have seen that her mouth was hanging wide open in shock. Closing it with a 'snap', she glared at him and turned, still holding her shoulder as she began to walk away. "Fine! Don't see me again! I wouldn't want to see you either, considering your manners are terrible." she said, not looking back. Aori stopped for a moment, pondering something before turning back to glare at him one last time. "I may have a weirdly skewed sense of justice, and with the mask on i tend to spout nonsense about justice, but I am not an obnoxious hero!" With that, she called the shadows to her feet and melted into them, leaving the Falcon alone.

He frowned as he listened to her. Well, someone was a bit touchy... He was still surprised that she didn't want to just get rid of him once and for all. Johnny watched her sink into the shadows with a small sigh before becoming aware of the police that were still surrounding the front of the jewelry store. Only a couple seconds later did he heard a gun go off, then a stinging pain run through his ankle as a bullet lodged into it. He mumbled a curse under his breath and backed away quickly and headed toward the fire escape again, leaving behind a small trail of blood. He climbed onto the dumpster and jumped painfully over to the fire escape, grabbing onto it and pulling himself up before scaling up it and to the rooftop where he lowered himself onto the ground to sit down. He looked at his ankle and frowned when he saw the bullet stuck in it. It was going to hurt when he decided to take it out. But for right now he needed to get back to base so he could have the tools to take it out. With a stabbing pain in his ankle he started to make his way across rooftops, heading toward the abandoned building his base was located under.
