She collapsed once more against the ground, a gasping breath leaving her her as she did so. She no longer had the strength to get up and move. She was running a fever, and who wouldn't, with only about a fourth of her soul left. Her voice was gone to, and it was a struggle to open her eyes.

"Darling?" he asked, turning around from what he was doing. "What's the matter? What happened?" he asked, holding his arms out for her.

She went into his arms she felt like she could take it easy now. "Bird boy managed to hit me with one of his 3 gun shots at me. But I manged to steal most of thr girls soul. Maybe I got to close but I was trying to do what you wanted I was trying to take the last of her soul n sorry if I failed you Jay" she said still hugging him. The shot luckily was on the opposite side of her chest then her heart was and it missed her lung.

He pulled back from her, the true signs of a madman showing on his face in that creepy smile of his, and the laugh that bubbled from his throat. "Sorry is going to cut it, my dear~." he sung, the deranged look still in his eye. "Luckily for you, I'll let it slide this once. Now get yourself cleaned up, we have work to do."

He slumped down against a wall and looked over at Aori for a moment, his hand holding his bleeding side. His body temperature grew colder the more blood he lost. Johnny glanced around with his good eye, knowing that he shouldn't stay much longer. And if he did he was sure that Jinx or The Joker would show up at some time. But at the moment his body refused to work with him. He closed his eyes tightly, trying to think of a way out of the mess. He knew that somehow Batman, or Bruce, would just easily get back up and get away. But he wasn't close to being him, or any of the other ex Robins.

"Would you rather I had died I could go back" she said her words were like daggers that's how sharp they sounded. She luckily got it out easily used to pain. "If you do rather I die then that could be arranged. She was a bit angry he didn't seem ti care more maybe she was just a pawn ti him and not special.

The tealette knew she couldn't hold on to consciousness for much longer, so she used the last tiny bit of strength that she had to use her shadows to transport both her and Johnny back to her apartment (which luckily for her wasn't incredibly far from where they were). She made sure Johnny ended up on the couch, her first aid kit still on the coffee table in front of him where she had left it. Aori herself was lying face down on the kitchen floor, unconscious after that last stunt she pulled, hair strewn about like a crime scene.

She didn't know why she helped him. Heck! She had been so close to turning him in to the fuzz the other day, but she figured it was again that weird and persistent sense of justice that wouldn't allow him to stay there on the streets. Now unconscious, she could only hope someone could get her soul back from Jinx.

"I will try to prevent your death as much as possible, my dear, don't take it in the wrong way." he told her, going back to his work for a moment before turning around and grinning at her. "But of course, failing does not equal results. And you aren't exactly exempt from my wrath just because you're my girlfriend."

"Do you think I don't know that last time you got pissed off you threw glass, knives and even chairs at me but member what I did I just stood there letting you" she said. "If I didn't flee they may have killed me them who could you have steal souls she's only got 1/4th of her soul still and bird biy was shot by you and chas trouble moving from pain soon the bullet will make him paralyzed if it stays in there. Any of that good enough fir you for now?" She asked not afraid of Jay

He was surprised when he was suddenly transported somewhere, looking around alarmed. He looked at the couch he was on and then at the first aid kit that was in front of him. He took in a small breath as he guessed this was Aori's place. Who else could have transported him? He reached forward painfully and grabbed hold of the first aid kit and pulled it over to him. He opened it and quickly found some medical tweezers. He lifted his suits shirt slowly so he could get a better look at the wound before he reached into the wound with the tweezers and grasped hold of the bullet at was stuck. He pulled it out quickly, panting as pain shot through him. Once he got the bullet out he dropped it and the tweezers on the floor. He grabbed some medical wrap, a gauze and some alcohol from the first aid kit. He poured some alcohol onto the gauze and rubbed the wound on his side clean, biting his lip to keep from yelling. After that was done he took that medical wrap and wrapped it around him so it was covering the bullet wound. Johnny sigh, the wound still hurting but at least the bullet was out. He didn't even bother with the wound on his face though, he was tired at the moment so he laid back and tried to relax a bit, and without even realising it he fell asleep on the couch, his arm wrapped tightly around him from trying to get himself warmed up.

"I'll be back" she said sensing jer dog letting her know the bullet was out "if im nit back in a day im probably dead I may have to go into that other from that could kill me" she said then she looked back at jay with her look that made him melt "I love you jay and I always will" she started leaving the room.

When Aori came to, she found that she could only move her fingers and her head from the neck up. No surprise to her, though, considering her soul was just about gone, and it was impossible to keep one's body animate without one. Lifting her head lightly, she saw she was lying on the kitchen floor, and out of the corner of her blue eyes, she could see Johnny sleeping on the couch. Sighing a bit in relief, she closed her eyes and laid her head back down, trying not to move too much in fear of damaging something.

"Yes." he agreed, turning back to his work, the grin never leaving, of course. "You're the only one who can withstand that from me. And that is why I would think you would stick around to finish the job instead of runaway after a mere grazing from a bullet. No matter though, the chess pieces are already in play. If my assumptions are correct, which they probably are, Crane should be up to something right about now, and with two players basically out of the way, we should succeed in taking full control over Gotham." The Joker threw back his head and cackled, clapping his hands together in glee. "Total chaos!"

When she moved to leave, he waved to her goodbye. "Tata dear! I'll see you in a bit!" he called, still smirking. A Joker is as a Joker does, so they say, and he went back to his work, thinking nothing of Jinx's behavior. He knew her--she would leave for a day or so, then come back because she loved him. He loved her too, although insanity cannot simply be covered up with good feelings and heartfelt words. Insanity was a disease of the mind, one that corrodes and corrupts until there is nothing left but pure madness.
