"Soifone?" Aidan shifted to his human self and raced after her. He helped tend to her wounded arm. "Were you having a nightmare? I was trying to get you up." He frowned as he looked down at her. "You okay?"
"Okay, maybe I am a little troubled," Rilo muttered under his breath. "My father isn't the most affectionate parent on the planet. In fact, he hates my guts because I didn't choose to be some boring banker like he was, and took up the art of magic instead." He carefully touched his mask. "A few months ago, he attempted to kill me off by lighting me on fire. It didn't work out as planned, and only burned the left side of my face. He placed this mask on my face to hide the damages he had done, and now I can't get it off. It's as though it's glued there or something." He paused for a moment. "Enough about me, though. I'd much rather hear about you instead of myself rambling."
