Katherine slumped down onto one of the chairs in the slytherin common room. She let her eyes wander around the room, taking in her surroundings and trying to keep herself from getting bored. "Where is everybody?" she mumbled to herself.

Aurum walked down the stairs of the girl's dormitory, multiple thick books held under her arm. She had come back here, to try and calm down, and maybe catch a few minutes of sleep. It hadn't worked out that way, as she had ended up cracking open her charms book. Long story short, she walked down the stairs in an even worse mood than she had walked up.

She made a beeline for the closest empty couch, limping slightly on her hurt foot, and sat down, crossing her legs, and placing her book in front of her. She completely ignored the girl sitting in a chair on the other side of the room. The last thing Aurum wanted to deal with then was some student that she didnt know. She sighed quietly, and opened the book, this time a thick, old, tome on divination. She opened a sheet of parchment, a star chart on it, and spread it out behind the book. She cracked her knuckles, and picked up her quill, getting to work on her homework.

Personality: Imbrus isn't the type to make friends easily. He likes to be alone; he's quite introverted, and needs time to recharge after a social situation. He may seem abrasive at first, but if anyone does get close to him, he becomes much more kind and caring. However, he does tend to stray from a path of light from time to time, and gets angered quickly and easily.

History: Imbrus lived in the city for a rather long time, before he moved out onto a farm with his Muggle family. He was shocked when he got his letter, and believed it to be an elaborate prank at first. However, he didn't have many friends at the time, and none whom he would've thought capable of something so intelligent. Finally, one of the Hogwarts professors was forced to go knock and his door and insist that the contents of the letter told the truth. He still didn't believe it - until the professor pulled out his wand and cast the Patronus charm, summoning a glowing silver dragon into the air. Imbrus enjoyed his time at Hogwarts, being sorted into Slytherin, though he didn't make many friends.
Also, ever since he was a little boy, he's loved exceptional artifacts. Now that he knows the wizarding world exists, he's got a whole new plane of magical trinkets to explore. He collects magic items.

Appearance: Thin and pale, with shaggy black hair that has a feathery texture. Bright green eyes. He's an inch or two shorter than most people his age.

Likes: Being alone; reading; drawing; interesting spells, particularly the forbidden ones (because what's more interesting than breaking the rules?); magical items; challenges; exhilarating experiences, such as flying or fighting.
Dislikes: Large crowds; any pompous members of his House who believe he isn't good enough because he's Muggle-born; potion-making; swimming, or other water-related sports; improper grammar.
Fears: Drowning; public humiliation.

Other: In his late fourth year, he figured out how to become an Animagus. Since his animal form reflects his personality, he can become a coyote at will - one identical to his Patronus. If that's not allowed, though, I can change it.
