'Pit!'
...
'Pit, wake up!'
Pit groaned as he opened his eyes, greeted by the bright light of the sun. Raising a hand to block out the light, he used his other hand to push himself up. "Oww..." He was sore from head to toe, and his thoughts were scattered. It took a bit of effort to try and piece together
what exactly happened, and the throbbing headache he had didn't help. He... could remember heading out, to.. check something out? Yeah, that sounded right! And then...
'Pit?'
The angel perked up at the familiar voice in his head, and he looked around from a seated position, before realizing who it was. "L-Lady Palutena..?" He murmured, a bit dazed.
He could hear the ever-so-familiar Goddess sigh in relief. 'Good.. You can hear me.. Are you alright?' Palutena asked, clearly concerned for the angel.
"Yeah, I'm just really sore... Don't suppose you could get me a Drink of the Gods or something?" Pit responded audibly, sitting cross-legged on the grass. To someone who wasn't aware, it'd look like he was talking to himself or no one! But he wasn't thinking to check if there were others around, as he looked himself over, checking to make sure everything was in order. His feathers were ruffled and messy, but that was an easy fix. He also had a few bumps and scrapes, but what else was new? He glanced around a bit, and he also noticed his bow, lying in the grass a short distance away. He reached out and grabbed it, glad to see it was in decent condition. He'd probably have to sharpen it when he got home though...
'I don't think that will be possible....'
"Are we out again?" Pit asked, a somewhat disappointed hue to his voice. Even if he couldn't drink them too often- having something that could heal him was helpful!
'No, we have plenty- I restocked the other day.' She explained, before she added in question 'Do you remember when that flash occured?'
Flash? Pit hummed in thought, trying to piece together all he could remember. Eventually, it came to him! "Oh yeah!" He said, nearly standing up in the burst of energy that came with his excitement from being able to remember. "You asked me to check out something that was really weird, and so I did! And when you were directing me towards it, there was this bright flash of light, and then I was falling for some reason! ... ..." He frowned. "Do... you know what happened?"
'I'm not too sure, beyond that after that flash, I couldn't keep you flying anymore. Even now, it's kind of hard to see you in the scrying pool...' He could tell she was a bit worried. 'I don't think I'll be able to transport anything to you awhile you're... Wherever you are.'
"Well... That's alright, Lady Palutena! You do enough for me already!" Pit said to reassure her, jumping up onto his feet as he did so. "And hey, good thing I armed myself before we set out, right?"
Palutena chuckled. 'Right, Pit. Just be careful, okay? I don't know if I can pull you out either if you get hurt.' She cautioned him in a gentle voice.
Pit nodded enthusiastically. "Of course, Lady Palutena! No one will get me down that easily!" He pumped a fist into the air confidently "We'll check out what this place is, and figure out what's going on no problem!" He quickly set off- a skip to his step, and spirits high.
