Raviel sat on the roof, leaning back as he looked up at the stars in thought. He'd been able to tell Mirajane how he felt, so why was he so hesitant to ask for a true relationship? Couldn't he just be upfront, couldn't he just make up his mind about what he wanted? Did he want a relationship or not? Was his fear of what he was capable of, what he had done to become a true devil slayer, enough to make Raviel hesitate? Hadn't he proven he was strong enough to be Mirajane's equal, to stand beside her like he had always wanted to. Even though Fairy Tail had won the Grand Magic Games, it seemed Raviel was still fighting a powerful opponent. This time, he may not come out on top. Hesitation lurked in his heart, far too deeply ingrained to be easily defeated. This time, Raviel was fighting himself. The outcome would rely completely on his heart's true desire, and he wouldn't have Mirajane to help him this time around.
