"You cant just decide you'll never be good and never try. We cant just decide that we'll die in battle the next day and not fight. This is your first time using a weapon." Puck took a bite of the apple and swung down from the tree, landing in front of her. He held up his left hand. "When I was first learning to fight, I used my left hand. They didnt like that, so they tied it behind my back and forced me to use my right. It almost got me killed. I spent more nights than I can count in a blood-stained bed to heal on my own. If I can go through all of that as young as I was, you can learn it now."
Puck never told much about his past. He never told anyone where he actually came from either. He never told anyone that he was not a fey by birth. He was born human, and had tried his hardest to show that he was worthy of being a knight, but instead was treated as a slave. They had tortured him during training, hopeing he would give up and go quietly into slavehood. Oberon had seem him one night, practicing with a sword with his left hand during the night when he should've been sleeping. The erlking had taken a liking to him, and adopted him. After spending many months in the Nevernever, he had slowly became a fey. For his safety, Oberon hadnt let Puck leave the palace grounds until he looked enough like a faery for it to be safe.
