Bella:

I nodded slowly "Mhm..." I was literally shaking now. It had only happened a few hours ago, and it was still fresh in my mind.

"Don't worry. I won't push you to tell me anything. You barely know any of us." I said softly, a small smile forming on my face. It dropped after that. I didn't know what to say really... I watched the flames dance around the fire.

Bella:

I nodded slowly and bit my lip, before I started full-on crying. I couldn't help myself.. just thinking about what had happened made me cry. It would make me cry hours after.. and it would make me cry years after.

I frowned as I saw her crying. I hated seeing people upset. I glanced at Lucas who was actually half-asleep at this point. I shook my head and a small smile appeared for a fraction of a second at his sleepy expression.

I attempted to wipe my eyes "Sorry.." I murmured "I just cant help it.." I said with a small shrug and I coughed slightly

"No problem whatsoever." I said softly, my gaze flickering up to her. I felt really sorry for the girl. "I forgot to introduce myself... I'm Carly, this is my brother Lucas.". Lucas raised his hand a little in greeting.

Bella:

I slowly nodded "Nice to meet you two" I murmured so quietly it was almost a whisper. I cleared my throat slightly and tightened my grip as I hugged my knees.

Lucas stood abruptly. How strange... "It's very nice to meet you too." I told Bella with a small smile.

I nodded and looked up at him "Are you alright?" I asked curiously

"I-I'm fine..." I said slowly, though the alarmed expression on my face would suggest otherwise. I'd heard something. My hearing had always been quite good. I could hear things my parents couldn't. I could identify a person by their footsteps. But the sound I heard wasn't human.
