Danasi's finger's stung from the protection runes and grew irritated as she was blown back. landing on the ground again shemulled over the choices. she could fight him, but she wanted that to be a last resort. if there was some way of getting his protection runes off it would make things so much easier. she did spot her knife on the ground and she sighed as she slipped it back into her scabbard. "so you would kill an entire city filled with innocent people, with families and children, and you don't care one tiny bit?" she asked.

"Of course I would," I say. "My ancestors have been doing it for millennia, why should it bother me?" I looked to the sky, watching the meteor fall ever lower. "Heck, one of them wiped out an entire species, what's a few hundred thousand people compared to that?"

Oh, no you don't. I'm not letting a city get wiped out by a load of black stuff, even if it is using my body.

I flinch and stumble, falling to the ground. "What the... What's happening... I... can't..." The protection runes on my body flicker from purple, to gold, to purple again, before disapearing entirely.

"you're waking up." Danasi replied, watching him fall. she would knock him out now, but she wanted to see if he was strong enough to get a hold of himself again. if they were going to be fighting Victor and Raven again, which she had no doubt, he would need to learn how to keep control of his own body.

"No... I'm... Not..." I manage to say. I try to rise, but it's like my body's at war with itself. "I... Won't... Let... Me..."

Oh, yes you will. You're not going to use me for this.

"Get... back in... my... head..."

"oh yes you are, and it took you long enough i might add." Danasi said, crossing her arms. "your going to have to learn how to keep your priorities straight. a few more minutes and it would have been to late." she wasn't saying it cruely, in fact it was a gentle tone. it was just somthing to continue stirring his conscience and give him a better understanding on how to control himself.

"No... He... won't... hear you..." I say, It's getting harder to talk now. Something inside me's putting up a fight. "I...Won't...let...him..." My arms give out, and I fall face-first onto the street. I start coughing up black. "Hurry..." I say. "Stop... Me... I can't... Hold on... for.. much... Longer..."

Danasi walked over and started pushing the blackness out of him like you would with water and a drowning person. "just sleep okay?" she murmured. "everything will be all right."

"Tell... Kaii...Stop...Meteor..." I say, in between coughing fits and gasps for air. "Tell...Her...Sorry..." My eyes roll back in my head, and I pass out.

Kaii looked up at the meteor, heading fast for Times Square. She swore in Kryptonian and leapt up in the air, a blur of red and blue as she headed towards it. She made contact with it, but it didn't seem like it was slowing down any. However, hundreds of feet before impact it slowed and stopped before rising up, gaining speed as it went until with screaming air protesting the speed, it was out of the atmosphere. The rift had not yet completely closed. Kaii pushed it until she was there. She studied the rift with her blue eyes before she kicked the meteor as hard as she could, saying, "take some back." The rift closed as soon as the meteor went through. She turned back to Earth.

Danasi watched with wonder at supergirl's strength. whe she came back she stood up and walked over to her. gesturing towards Runepriest she said, "he told me to tell you he was sorry. also, thank you for stopping that meteor. you're incredible."
