Raven chuckled as he asked, "Wait, you put all of that in doughnuts? Wow, you crack me up."

"maybe. but i still remember what we talked about and just so you know i'm counting the time in the building as our first kiss." Danasi replied and turned back around to stir the noodles and sauce, leaving him with that last comment. She blushed a bit to herself, thinking about the memory still fresh in her mind.

Jaidex
Jaidex abandoned his quest of drying the dish long enough to kiss her on the cheek. "And I hope there won't be a last." he told her before returning to the dish.

I chuckle along with Raven as the elevator door dings and opens. "Yep, metaphorical baking is one of my specialties." I walk inside and press the button for the top floor, holding the door for Raven again.

Raven followed her into the elevator as he said, "Remind me to test everything you give me and make sure there isn't anything funny in it."

"Believe me," I say, as the elevator doors close, "My cooking could poison you just fine without me putting anything else in it." After a few minutes of sort of awkward silence as we rise up the building, I speak up again, asking the question that's been tugging at me since Raven told me about his and Victor's falling out. "So, what are you going to do now?"

Danasi blushed and smiled when he kissed her cheek. "me too." she replied quietly and went back to preparing the spagettii. it was all still a new and wonderful experience for her to be loved by someone like Jaidex. when the pasta was soft enough she pulled out a strainer and poured the water and noodles into it in the sink. after that she poured the noodles back into the pot and set it back on the stove. she got out two bowls and forks and spooned noodles and sauce into the bowls for her and Jaidex. she set his bowl next to him and kissed his cheek. "here you go." she said and went to the fridge to get them some drinks.

"I'll see if I can locate it from up here," Dean replied as he turned off to start searching.

Raven shrugged as he replied, "I'm not sure really. I'll have to think about how to go about my day and what to do about Victor. The last time I was on my own I was a child. Never really been apart from him before."

That's...wow. He's been with Victor that long. In a way, I kind of envy him. I mean, sure, his dad was a power-crazy destroyer of worlds, but at least he had a father. My parents both died when I was too young to remember. Hanta virus, the villagers said. I try not to think about them too much, I'm not sure they'd like the choices I've made. "Maybe we don't do anything," I say. "Let the heroes sort it out, then grab a couple of lawn chairs and watch the show. I mean, that Supergirl chick seems to have it together, minus that bit about her brother, I think they could handle Vicky boy now that he's alone."

"You would think so but both Supergirl and Dean are now working for Victor. I might be able to bring Dean back, but I don't know about Kaii. She is technically dead and just being controlled by Ruin. With those two on his side, I don't know if the heroes can win," Raven replied softly as he looked around her apartment.

"But that Runepriest kid can cure people, right?" I ask, glossing over the fact that Victor apparently has the ability to create zombies, which, coming from Africa, is a lot scarier to me than it would be to most people. "I mean, I'm pretty sure that's how it lost my memory to begin with. Couldn't he cure them? And what would happen if he tried that on Victor?"
