Raising her eyebrows, she stood up. "Do you know what powers I have?" Mimic asked, though she didn't wait for him to answer. "I guess you probably don't. I haven't really demonstrated apart from the time I sucked the life from one of SHIELD's associates." She shook her head, clearing that memory away before she thought of the damage that incident had done to her, too. "The only power I actually can now call my own is my enhanced senses. My hearing is heightened, my sense of smell, my sight. I could hear a pin drop from at least fifty metres away. That also means I can tell when even the best liars are dishonest. It took a while to master that skill but I think I have it honed pretty well." Snapping around, her hand snatched at the front of his shirt- shoving him harshly away, towards the back wall. "Where is my brother?"

Shadow, not getting a reply from the knock, jokingly said "guess i better knock louder." as she was saying this she drew both her arms back building up shadow-power, she then swung her arms forward and placed the palms of her hands on the door blasting it off it's hinges and into the room. noticing the who the agent was, "hey joey, need some help?" she said. "i know im not suppose to be here techniqly but i was suppose to be at the meeting."

Joey Michael
He tensed up slightly when he heard what she had to say. He did know she had killed the Agent before, but could she do it again? He glanced up at her and took in a deep breath, about to say something but she grabbed the front of his shirt and shoved him toward the back wall before he could say anything. Joey stumbled slightly and moved away from her until he did have his back against the wall. So lying was out of the equation and he couldn't tell her. He'd have to figure out some other way. "I can't tell you where he is," he answered, "But I can tell you that he's fine, he's not being hurt or anything. And he doesn't seem to care that much that he's in there, or that he misses you." Of course that last part was a lie, but he thought it might be able to work. He flinched slightly when the door suddenly blasted open. The sound from the door and light from the hall both immediately made his headache pound hard. He let out a slight pained sigh and closed his eyes and rubbed his head.

Her eyes narrowed as he told her about what he 'knew' of her brother. "Of course he cares that he's in there," she growled, just as the door was smashed through. She spun to find out who had interrupted them, her eyes blazing. "Can't you see we're having a conversation?" She demanded, her voice growing close to a yell. "Get out!" She made a motion with her hand to indicate for Shadow to leave, obviously not feeling threatened by her presence, just annoyed at being interrupted.

Shadow laughed at the thought of her listening to the demands of this woman "sorry, but i think ill be stepping in." she said as she cast a shadow rope and grabbed mimics hand, attempting to pull her away from joey. "before this continues too far, who the heck are you?" she asked now a bit confused.

ℬen heard a loud bang from further down the hallway, just around the corner actually. He glanced backwards, feeling his stomach drop. Loud noises in this area of the building? That wasn't normal. He ignored whatever he was going to do beforehand, and started jogging in the general direction of it. He was thanking his path-finding ability at that moment.

Joey Michael
He frowned and opened his eyes again, looking at them. He didn't want this to end up bad... So he quickly made a decision. "Shadow. It's okay. We were just talking. You can leave," he said and took a couple steps forward.

Mimic
When the shadow wrapped around her wrist, she pulled a little away from Joey, contemplating her next move. Then, suddenly, she lunged at Shadow without much of a warning. Her hand aiming to wrap around the other girl's wrist in return, a plan forming in her mind.

knocked off balance by the woman she released the shadow grip from her and chanted a small spell turning the floor to quicksand where the woman was, ignoring the fact that the woman had a hold of her wrist.

Giving a short laugh, Mimic reached out with shadows own shadow control powers, wrapping shadows around both of her wrists to pull herself free of the quicksand and onto the table. "Shadow manipulation, eh? How fun. I haven't encountered a manipulator in a long time."
