Stella yawned looking over, "Hai...."

"How come they get to sleep 'til sunhigh while we have to get up at dawn!?" Poplarpaw voiced Tawnypaw's thoughts. "Because they need as much rest as they can get to learn the territory with Boltfur and Honeyleaf!" Sedgefrost snapped impatiently.

Pixal watches Jenny tear plates of metal off the truck.

Zane frowned, "Pixal..."

Pixal looks at Zane, tipping her head.

By the time the dawn patrol, Tawnypaw and Blazingpaw in tow, returned, Skytail and Longfur were preparing to take the new members out for their tour of the territory. Despite her tiredness from the dawn patrol and Boulderpaw and Rockpaw going on about their first Gathering last night, she was excited about how she and Poplarpaw were chosen to join them. Secretly, she had a crush on Boulderpaw.

(Tawnypaw: "Can you keep a secret?")

Zane nodded, "Try not to fight too much? I don't think we need two pairs of sisters fighting."

"I can't help but snap at her sometimes." Pixal frowns. "She just gets dramatic."

"Says the girl who kicked her sister. " Jenny snorts.

(Me: *drinks soda* Sure.)

Zane glared at Jenny, "Don't you start fights too."

But when they neared the border by the moor, Tawnypaw screeched as a weight slammed into her. Yowling around her told her that other cats were fighting too. She caught a glimpse of Blazingpaw struggling free of a white tom to knock away a tabby pinning Boulderpaw. "Another Clan apprentice hmm? Let's see how you like it when your Clanmates are killed before your eyes!" a sneer sounded above Tawnypaw. She struggled to look up to see Storm, the vicious former kittypet holding her down. She tried to spit a reply, but Storm moved his forepaw to press it down on her throat, making speaking, and breathing, next to impossible.
