Anna brushed aside some vines carelessly, stepping over some enormous roots that barred her way. Despite the situation, this was actually a very nice island. It had so many more colors and creatures that she didn't see back home. It was all very exciting. If she had to live somewhere for the rest of her life, she wouldn't mind a place like this.
'Who says you'll be here forever.' A voice broke through Anna's blissful thoughts. 'You have things to do, and somewhere to be. You can't stay here.' Anna's heart sank, aware once again of her situation. She was trying not to think of that, and it was working very nicely. It's possible she might stay here forever, which wasn't what she wanted or needed at all. however, it was just as possible that someone will come looking for the lost plane, and any survivors. Anna lifted her mood and smiled to herself. Yes, it was likely that would happen. It was only a matter of time.
Deeper and deeper into the forest, Anna stared at everything that amazed her. This was all so new and unique, and...
"Oh, look at that!" Anna suddenly pointed to a low hanging branch. "That is the largest snake I have ever seen in my life!" She approached the branch slowly, hoping not to scare the creature off. It must have worked, because as she drew nearer, the snake didn't move. It only hissed crossly.
