"The Son of Hades," Nico replied vaguely, folding his arms, black eyes boring into her as Merlin's shoulders slumped a little.

Jace smiled. "Sleep well.."

"That explains nothing. What's your name?" Casey asked. She glanced over at Merlin with a small frown. "Hey man, it's going to be okay." She said quietly. She didn't mean to talk like how John did but she hung around him too much to not talk like that.

"Names are powerful," Nico said in reply. "Names used to be able to expel things - witches, vampires. I don't do names for those I don't trust." He grumbled.
Merlin shook his head softly, gritting his teeth.

Casey pouted a bit. "Okay, is there something I could call you by?" She asked. She stepped sideways to go stand by Merlin.

"No, because it's highly unlikely I'll ever see you again," Nico said.

Casey shrugged. "You never know, we might." She said with a small smirk.

"Well, if we do," Nico paused. "You won't know my name." He sliced his sword into the ground, and disappeared into shadow's tendrils.

Casey watched him go. "Weirdo." She muttered as she turned to Merlin and hugged him gently, hopping to maybe soothe him.

Merlin smiled softly, looking down at her and hugging her back, looking past her, at the hills.

Casey stepped back after a while and looked around. "Wonder what his deal was." she muttered as she scratched out the markings she had drawn on the ground.
